      How to Get Hired

We asked Five Stones Research Corporation for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We recruit prospective new employees who fit our existing corporate culture. Our corporate culture is defined in two ways.  First and foremost, prospective employees must subscribe to our corporate value set.  Secondly, employees must exhibit our work values.  Five Stones’ corporate and work values are outlined below:

Corporate Values: We will deliver quality products and services We will have the courage to do the right thing We will operate with honesty & integrity We will trust in each other to achieve our mission and vision

Work Values: Displays Initiative – Shows ambition, action and drive.  Hard Worker –  Drives results to ensure mission accomplishment.  Critical Thinker – Thinks critically and creatively. Uses good judgment to make good decisions. Focuses on Attention to Detail – Observant to customer needs.  Catches the small things.  Improves work products continuously. Communicator – Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Excels at listening.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Five Stones has a comprehensive interview process includes the evaluation of less obvious skills. Our interview process is multi-tiered.  The Human Resources (HR) department begins by screening candidates.  Hiring managers then interview potential candidates to determine if they are technically qualified and have the corporate and work values necessary to succeed.  A member of our Executive Staff, with their understanding of corporate values, conducts a final interview with the new employee to ensure compatibility with our corporate values.  During this process, it becomes clear which candidate is the most technically qualified and well aligned with our work and corporate values.

To catch our attention, a candidate should know about Five Stones:  what we do, what we care about, what are employees say about us.  We also like to see a well-rounded candidate with leadership skills.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

5SRC is organized into three core business areas: Engineering, Logistics / Programmatics, and Information Management / Information Technology.   We currently are expecting growth in all three areas and will be looking for candiates in all three.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Keep an eye on our web site, our LinkedIn page, and our Indeed page.   We post all our hiring actions on those three sites.
