What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
When searching for candidates across all roles at FAST, we look for candidates who have strong communication skills, take initiative to solve problems that present themselves, and work effectively in team settings. Additionally, many of our roles require candidates who have solid technical backgrounds and are willing to relocate.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
FAST recruiters attend several recruiting events (conferences, on-campus recruiting, career fairs, networking events, etc.) throughout the year and welcome candidates to meet us in person. To gain the attention of a FAST recruiter, we recommend that candidates do what they can do stand out, take a proactive approach to their career search, perfect their resume and interview skills, perform research, and take the advice of potential employers. To further stand out, we recommend that candidates start to plan for their careers early on. Internships, cooperatives, and independent projects are excellent ways to gain relevant experience outside of school. We look for candidates who are well-rounded and can work in team settings—getting involved in community and campus events is a great way to gain experience.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
FAST is always looking to hire entry-level, project-based candidates for our technical roles. The role we most commonly hire for is the Implementation Consultant position. These employees work to configure our software products to address the needs of our clients. For this position, FAST recruiters look for people who have a combination of technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with our clients and other team members. Implementation Consultants join one of our client sites, which are located worldwide.
