We asked EvolveMKD for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.
What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
In terms of finding talent, we rely heavily on referrals and word of mouth – the best employees have come from people that we respect and admire. We also look for candidates that not only have the skillset, but also fit our culture, which is really important. In terms of important characteristics, I want employees that are proactive, positive, team oriented and are looking for a career, not a job.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
I always am impressed when someone has a demonstrated commitment to philanthropy – either they’ve volunteered somewhere consistently or they’ve done some pro-bono work. Philanthropy is one of our core values at EvolveMKD and if someone demonstrates that already, I know they will be a culture fit. On the negative side, anyone’s resume that has grammatical or formatting issues or spells the name of the company wrong, does not get a second look.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
EvolveMKD is looking for a dynamic, energetic and proactive Vice President to join our digital team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with a collaborative team on a wide variety of businesses in the aesthetics, healthcare, beauty and lifestyle categories. A successful candidate will have a creative and analytic mind for all things digital, a proven track record of executing and generating results for social media, influencer and paid campaigns, and has had success managing a team. The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent research, problem-solving, organizational and client and team management skills. The candidate will assist the Senior Vice President in client and new business strategy and team management. Passion, enthusiasm, collaboration, and respect for others is required.
