  • Annual Ping Pong Tournament: Each year we host a Home Office ping pong tournament open to all Home Office associates. There are prizes like new ping pong paddles, and gift cards and goodies, but the best result of this event is bragging rights for a whole year!
  • Our 56 Branch locations have varying perks of their own choice. Some that stand out are: o Monthly birthday parties with cake – Newest hires (or even visitors) lead the team in singing Happy Birthday! o “Inspiration Board” – Associates put inspirational quotes on it for others to read and use to welcome visitors to the branch. o Potlucks – These include chili cook-offs, prizes, and themed parties. o Monthly Branch Luncheons – These are used to celebrate a variety of things such as goal announcements and updates. This time is also used to present awards/trophies to top Processors, Loan Officers, and what we like to call “Miracle Makers”. Those associates are voted on by the branch for making a difference that month.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Candidates who are humble, hungry, and smart are a great fit for the Evergreen Culture. This is based on the ideas from Patrick Lencioni’s book The Ideal Team Player. What this means at Evergreen is that our culture is an atmosphere of leaders serving, and teams achieving goals by working together. Additionally, we seek out candidates who share these core values from our Integrity conviction. 1) Acknowledge and own their mistakes 2)Are humble, servant leaders who lead by example. 3) Do what they say they're going to do, even when it's hard. 4) Own the customer's problem until it's resolved.    

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Have passion, show enthusiasm, and have a GREAT attitude. This shows engagement. Associates who are highly enthusiastic bring that level of energy to other associates. It’s contagious and affects everyone around them. Skills can be less important if you don’t have the passion and the drive to succeed.
