Perks and Programs

We asked Emerge to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Team Member Referral Bonus Program: At Emerge, our strength is in our team members. We are always on the lookout for talented, dynamic people to add to our growing team. Now, we are offering several ways for team members to refer professionals in their network. For each referral, they submit that is hired they (the team members) are paid a $750 bonus.
  • Annual Summit: Every year, we host a two-day training and development event at our Phoenix, Arizona location. This year’s Summit was a time to celebrate the different perspectives and styles of each individual team member, recognizing that each team member is unique with DISC training, an awards dinner recognizing exceptional team members in the categories of Excellence, Inspiration and Leadership and a talent show.
  • Monthly Team Building Events: Every Third Thursday of the month, one of our team members plans a team building activity. Every month is an adventure, with no two activities alike. Favorites include an afternoon Scavenger Hunt throughout Rochester with clues that highlighted historic areas of the region and a very competitive chili cook off. Sometimes they take a more serious tone as we donated to and supported a rescue dog who was fighting cancer and neglect. Each month is a truly personal experience, as it reflects the passions of the planning team member… and when complete they then “pass the torch” to another team member to plan the next month.
  • Pack the 'Pack: Our Pack the 'Pack program gives students the tools to start their education on the right foot. We focus on Kindergarten or First graders, and donated back packs filled with all the supplies they need to focus on learning. We donated back packs this year in Rochester, New York City and Phoenix.
  • Community Day: We volunteer our time as a team, giving back to the communities where we live, work and play. This year, our Community Day focused on feeding the hungry. The Emerge team collected food through a company-wide drive and volunteered at the Foodlink Warehouse.
  • Charity Walks/Runs: We participate in charity walk/runs and pay for participation fees for our team members. This year, our team participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge in Rochester, NY with a portion of the proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • DISC Training: DISC training — a common language in communication and behavior preferences. DISC helps participants recognize four main styles in both themselves and others: Dominance, Influencer, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Through role playing, team members learn how to best communicate with each type for better results and teamwork. DISC was widely embraced and the team building exercise.
  • Client Donation Program: In lieu of sending holiday gifts to clients, we make an annual corporate donation at the end of the year. In 2015, we made donations to Feeding America, Cancer Research Institute, InSTEDD, United Way, and NLEAFCF.
  • Gratitude Dinners: Teams were asked to write about what each were grateful for in one another. A dinner was arranged for each team. At each place setting there was a beautifully designed and printed card that had what each team member said about that person illustrated for them to keep.
