What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Some of the key characteristics are: Teachable, Honoring (valuing people), Direct in dealing with confrontation, Fun factor, High energy, Competitive, Work ethic, Intensity, 4Gs (Growth, Gifts, Giving, Groups). What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Local candidates should already be investing their lives in our church by using their gifts (volunteering), being involved in community/discipleship (eGroup), giving, and inviting people far from God to our church. All candidates should communicate their calling and desire to be a part of something greater than themselves. The amount of effort they put in their application and video is an excellent way to standout.
Are there any unusual or especially rigorous steps of your hiring process that candidates should be aware of?
60 second video; Counseling session with spouse; Extensive quesionnaire; Interview dinner with spouse; intentional cross-departmental group interview.
