Perks and Programs

We asked Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations Inc to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Paid Time Off: All full time team members receive three weeks of paid time off in their first year, which increases to four weeks after their first anniversary, and again increasing to five weeks after their fifth anniversary. Because Dynamic places a high value on work and life balance for our team members, this perk is especially important! Although this is considered highly generous for our industry, we believe that balance in all areas of life leads to happy and engaged team members.
  • Blessing Box: Within each of our facilities, you will find a Blessing Box. The concept of the Blessing Box is to provide support to individuals in need of some extra assistance, without needing to identify yourself. Our team members take a blessing when they are in need, and leave a blessing when they can. It's a way for us all to take care of each other, and make a difference in others' lives.
  • Team Member Appreciation: Without an incredible team, we wouldn’t be able to improve the world through reuse and recycling, and we try to show our appreciation as often as possible. During the semi-annual Team Member Appreciation Month, each function unit chooses an event to fit its style. Some examples include attendance at a Milwaukee Brewers game, a day of pontoon rentals on the lake, canoe trips, and more! In addition, we celebrate individual team member events throughout the year, like birthdays and anniversaries, with a card signed by our executive leadership team and their peers, as well as a gift card to a local store or certificate for our apparel site. New family additions are celebrated with an embroidered plush animal, and in the unfortunate event that a team member loses a loved one, they receive additional paid time off and a floral arrangement.
  • Profit Sharing: At Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, we believe that each and every team member directly contributes to our success. As such, it’s only right that our team receives a share of the company profit. Each quarter, we pay out bonuses to our team based upon the profitability of those three months, and gather for a catered lunch to celebrate. During this meal, we hear from business leaders on major wins from the previous quarter, and learn about what we can look forward to in the next. We also recognize recipients of our Core Values Spotlight, which is a program designed for peer recognition of events and actions that exemplify our company values, and welcome new team members who have joined us in the last three months.
  • Holistic Wellness: In addition to physical wellness supported by our health benefits, we believe that truly well rounded and happy individuals are healthy in all aspects of life. To support Holistic Wellness, we have joined forces with Corporate Chaplains of America to provide confidential, unbiased, and consistent support to our team, their families, and their friends, when they need counseling or guidance, which is available 24/7 and 365 days a year. Additionally, an internal committee, Restore, responds to requests for emotional, financial, or prayerful support. They strive to encourage and support our team through any and all hardships, so that no one walks alone. Team members are also welcome to donate unused PTO to a benevolence fund, which supports individuals needing additional time away from work due to family emergencies, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Professional Development: Continuous professional and personal development is important to our team, and supports our mission of empowering others. Dynamic makes it easy for team members to have knowledge at their fingertips by offering an onsite library with a comfortable spot to lounge. As a natural extension of the library, we also host a monthly book club! Members select a book that piques their interest, and then share what they’ve learned, and facilitate dialogue with their small group. The group assignments rotate every month, so we have a chance to interact with individuals outside of our immediate circles. When book club is not in session, our Professional Development Committee hosts Tuesday Leadership. The team gathers to hear from local speakers, internal leaders, or execute a team building activity. Everyone is invited to facilitate a session, if desired, and topics range from sharpening our leadership skills to stress management, and much more.
  • Continuing Education: Placing a strong emphasis on continued learning and growth, Dynamic sponsors many classes including Microsoft Office training, Love and Logic parenting sessions, and effective communication courses. Additionally, financial support is available for individuals pursuing other continuing education. Uniquely, this support applies both to education related to a career at Dynamic, and beyond! Although the investment may not directly benefit Dynamic, supporting the pursuit of individual passions is integral to our mission. Unfortunately, health and wellness benefits are often complex and confusing. In partnership with our benefits broker, we offer monthly benefits education sessions, which take deep dives into various components of our benefits. Sessions are open to all during the lunch hour, with a meal catered in. Financial security can also be intimidating, so team members are offered one-on-one sessions with a financial planner, and a 100% subsidized SmartDollar wellness program with participation incentives up to $1,000!
  • Corporate Committees: Dynamic creates an environment where everyone can get involved and make an impact by presenting opportunities to join several committees. Currently active committees include the Fun Squad, Professional Development Board, Safety Committee, and Sustainability Committee. As an example, the Fun Squad is responsible for coordinating and executing our company events and activities, like our Thanksgiving Pie Eating Contest, The Dynamic Games, monthly catered lunches, outings to local sporting events, and family picnics – just to name a few. Because management recognizes the importance of the work this group does, the Fun Squad is awarded an annual budget of close to $40,000 to spread fun and joy throughout our workforce. Our committees also collaborate to get the team involved with community support and philanthropy. In the past, we’ve participated in programs such as Adopt-A-Highway and Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon, have planted trees at the local landfill, and much more!
  • Fitness Center and Game Room: At Dynamic's headquarters, you will find a state of the art fitness center which is available for use by any team member and their family. The facility also features an arcade, complete with a golf simulator, ping pong table, pool table, and vintage arcade games. These facilities lend themselves to Dynamic's core value of fun and remind us to not take ourselves too seriously and enjoy our time working together.
  • Career Planning: Career planning is an important aspect of a culture focused on continuous improvement and development. As part of our semi-annual talent planning process, Emerging Leaders and Top Talent are identified, and both groups are provided with accelerated development activities. Emerging Leaders are chosen from our entry level production staff. The group forms a community which comes together monthly for focused development around topics such as resume writing and interview skills, group book discussions, and Q&A presentations with executive speakers. Emerging Leaders are invited to participate in Tuesday Leadership sessions and encouraged to develop an Individual Growth Plan (IGP). IGP’s are tools provided to all professionals, managers, and Emerging Leaders, which offer an avenue for structured discussions between manager and team member around strengths, improvement areas, gaps, and development activities. The IGP is meant to be team member driven and manager supported.

How to Get Hired

We asked Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations Inc for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

In addition to our core values of integrity, humility, service, excellence through innovation, self-discipline and fun, we have found that candidates who are great communicators, driven, collaborative and organized are most successful.  Dynamic offers challenging work in a fast paced environment, which keeps the days exciting and furthers our team’s professional development.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective team members should provide a concise and professional resume, with a focus on their values, strengths, and any significant impact during their time in prior roles.  Dynamic team members are fun and self-disciplined; we like to see candidates who open up and showcase their personality while maintaining a professional composure.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Dynamic continues to see double-digit growth on an annual basis, since our second year in business, and recently opened a new 140,000-square-foot materials processing and recovery facility.   With that, in 2019 Dynamic will continue to hire for production, administrative, and professional roles with an emphasis on sales professionals and leaders.
