We asked DriveShop to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • New Office with On-Site Gym: In 2015 the company completed a five-year transformation plan with a rebranding of the company to DriveShop and opened new offices including new corporate headquarters. Some cool new additions to our new modern space are: new on-site gym, quick bike rides to Whole Foods on our custom DriveShop bikes, a vintage (ouch it hurts to call it that) 1981 Atari, free parking and beautiful tree-top views from every desk.
  • Weekly Happy Hours and Events: DriveShop has free company lunches and snacks throughout the week as well as our "Dilly Bar and beer" (or whiskey) weekly Happy Hours. Our happy hours are not something we take lightly, or indulge in lightly. They’re a mini-version of our family picnic (held at Redhook Brewery each year). We are a tight knit team and live by the “work hard, get out and go play" mentality. We regularly buy out the local iPic movie theater to see the work we do in the entertainment industry. Watching our client’s vehicles featured in The Fast & Furious 7 or Jurassic World were fun afternoons!
  • Holiday Parties: The biggest holiday event we host is our Annual Christmas Party. These private events are hosted at fun off-site locations and are jam packed with entertainment, food and drinks. In years past, we've rented out beautiful wineries, large taverns/bars, country clubs, etc.
  • Short Work Days in Summer: One of the best perks of the office is that late afternoons and evenings (especially in the summertime), are empty. We are serious about enjoying life as much as we are about enjoying work.
  • Pine Block Derby: Quickly after our Seahawks “Blue Fridays” conclude for the year, our annual Pineblock Derby Charity becomes the obsession du jour. The gearheads and non-gearheads alike brought their A game this year and doubled our donation goal. This event involves people from all across the automotive, influencer and event marketing industries to raise thousands of dollars for Make-a-Wish, Fischer House, Feeding America and 4 Paws For Ability.
  • 11 Paid Company Holidays and 15 PTO Days: DriveShop offers all employees 11 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO, which includes five sick days but employees can use the time however they want. In your first year of employment, PTO days are calculated from your date of hire.  They are prorated 10 hours a month until January 1st (15 days of PTO is awarded to all employees on Jan 1st every year). 
  • Event Access: Our employees have the opportunity to travel frequently for events they produce, which are a blast and help us all enjoy our job more and more every day. SXSW, Rock in Rio, The Superbowl, VIP luxury driving events in Aspen, Hollywood movie premieres and the ever popular Puerto Rico Auto Show to name a few.
  • Travel Programs: Employees have the opportunity to book their travel through their own awards programs to earn points. This can really add up since our account teams travel frequently.
  • Supplier Discount Program via Manufacturer: Employees can earn "Vendor Discounts" when purchasing vehicles from the clients we work with.
  • Active Team Events: We regularly have catered and open bar events for our teams across the country to show our appreciation. There are also company-paid annual off-site events in fun locations, like Vegas or Suncadia Golf Resort & Winery in Cle Elum, WA.

    What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

    The ideal candidate is thorough, detail-oriented and thrives on problem solving. Holding a commitment to quality, accuracy, consistency and transparency is essential. They are a team player with strong communication skills and a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic who can have fun along the way. In our interviews, we ask “who is the best person you've worked for and why?” Being able to recognize the effort of someone else in their career to make them better demonstrates humility, which is crucial. We look for innovative, interesting and hardworking employees. Our company culture is very important to the success of DriveShop therefore candidates with unique perspectives, inspiring ideas and a passion for cars is always a plus! This helps foster a workplace that is continuously innovative and diverse.
