The Company awards scholarships to dependents of our eligible employees of $2,500 per academic year, for up to four (4) continuous academic years, towards the costs of tuition, required textbooks and certain fees. Scholarship applications will be solicited annually, and candidates will be evaluated based on the quality of their responses.
  • First Year Family & Medical Leave of Absence: Sometimes the unexpected happens, even to our newest hires. For this reason, we have established a First Year Family and Medical Leave program. If you are a regular full-time or part-time employee and have completed 60 calendar days of employment but are ineligible for FMLA leave, you may be eligible for a job-protected leave under DHL’s First Year Family & Medical Leave of Absence policy for up to six (6) weeks. They understand that a key component to creating a high-performance environment is transparent, regular communication—setting clear and understood objectives, giving regular motivational and developmental feedback, listening and keeping everyone involved and focused on adding value.
  • Certified International Specialist: Every employee is trained to become a Certified International Specialist. Coursework begins with CIS Induction, a week-long training in our air hub in CVG (Erlanger, KY). All employees are flown to CVG to begin their journey. Managers receive a unique curriculum under the Certified International Manager umbrella. Here, they learn how to become a 21st Century Manager, practicing our core value of achieving results without sacrificing respect.
  • Employee Opinion Survey: "Motivated Employees" is our first pillar to achieve great business results. We conduct an annual survey to hear the voice of our employees; share results; create and implement Action Items based on the feedback; and measure effectiveness. This annual process creates a motivated workforce through a continuous process of survey, feedback, action, and measurement.
  • Global Volunteer Day: Employees are encouraged to participate in the annual Global Volunteer Day (GVD). Doing good things for our communities is a source of joy, and it’s also our responsibility as part of society. Every contribution counts and has a positive impact. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Whether you're a global manager or a marketing assistant, operating a forklift or answering customer inquiries, we never forget that it's our employees who make us who we are.  Therefore all DHL Express employees, regardless of their position at the company, share four key attributes: Passion, Speed, and Can Do attitudes committed to getting it Right the First Time.  Our corporate culture is based on Respect and Results and a fundamental personal commitment – to our business, to each other and to our global communities.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

At DHL Express each employee’s individual contributions is what make us the #1 Express Deliveries and Logistics Company in the world.  Our solutions are powered by trade, logistics and the drive and passion of all our employees.  Our “insanely customer-centric” model won’t work if our employees don’t exude these values.  So, what can prospective employees do to get our attention?  Simple, be yourself throughout the interview process!  Our business will only be successful, our customers will only be satisfied and you’ll only be happy if enthusiasm, pride in providing great service quality and a commitment to going the extra mile for others is at your core.
