Perks and Programs

We asked Dermira, Inc. to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Telecommuting: Employees are offered the opportunity to work from home one day per week, lending them a commute-free day.
  • Early Friday Office Closure: The Dermira office officially closes at 2pm every Friday throughout the year to give employees an extended weekend and to provide them an opportunity to take care of personal needs for them and their families.
  • Employee Referral Program: Our employees are our best asset and bringing in great new talent is critical to our success. We also know that our employees are well-connected and therefore, we incentivize them to play a role in recruiting new employees who can not only do the job required of them, but who will fit in our vibrant culture. Employees whose referral is hired earn a $1,000 bonus.
  • Dermira Deeds: Dermira recognizes employees who go above and beyond to take care of the little things, not because it’s their job, but simply because they care and are good corporate citizens. The Dermira Deed program recognizes employees who exemplify our values and offer an extra pair of helping hands to their colleagues. The Deeds are gift cards to popular national retailers and any employee can acknowledge a colleague for a job well done. The Deeds can be given any time, employees are not capped on the number of deeds they can offer or receive, and employees are encouraged to present them at our weekly staff meeting.
  • Above & Beyond Awards: The “Above & Beyond Awards” are given to high-performing employees whose contributions extend beyond their job description. These employees exemplify our values, are collaborative and have a positive impact across the organization. Recipients can receive up to $2,000 (net of taxes) in recognition of their performance.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: We encourage continued education among our employees and offer up to $2,500 in tuition reimbursement annually for employees who wish to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree, or continuing education courses relevant to their professional aspirations.
  • Wednesday Lunch & Meeting: Hosting Wednesday staff meetings and lunch is foundational to the Dermira culture. This is the time for employees to come together, share updates across the organization, engage with company leaders, and enjoy a catered lunch that provides them with the opportunity to meet with colleagues, old and new.
  • Personal Mobile Phone Subsidy: Dermira offers its employees $50 per month toward the individual mobile plan of their choice. They may also receive an additional percentage off their bill through certain carriers. This empowers employees to take advantage of the mobile service and device that best suits them.
  • Subsidized Dry-Cleaning Services: Our employees lead busy lives. To alleviate the hassle of certain laundering services, we offer a subsidized cleaning service that picks up clothing at the office, performs the needed tasks (whether dry cleaning, stitching, etc.), and drops off the clean clothing to the employee at the office. This saves our employees a post-work stop at the dry cleaner, giving them valuable time back, as well as also saving them money through the subsidized program.
  • Generous Health Benefits: The health and wellness of our employees is paramount to Dermira. The company provides fully paid medical benefits to our employees and their families.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees can start by reaching out to us regardless of whether or not we have a role posted that may fit their skill set.
