Perks and Programs

We asked CustomInk to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Live Well - Wellness Program: CustomInk's Live Well program helps team members be well physically, socially, and financially and provides simple, affordable, and accessible tools to do just that.
  • Exceptional Health Coverage: CustomInk picks up 99% of team member premiums, ensuring that Inkers not only feel taken care of, but that they get the care and coverage they need at an affordable price.
  • Lead Well: CustomInk's leadership development program was designed to build bench strength at all levels. It links to our Leadership Principles, integrates with our Core Values, and fits with our character.
  • Inkademy Awards: CustomInk's formal annual recognition program encourages team members to recognize each other for their exemplary demonstration of our three Core Values: the Golden Rule, Ownership, and Innovation.
  • Three Hearts: CustomInk cares about its co-workers, customers and communities. The Three Hearts Initiative was created to answer the call of Inkers -- to do more, to do the right thing and to make a difference.
  • Inkternships: Similar to “internship” programs, the goal is to provide Inkers with exposure to other areas of the business, real hands-on experience, and the opportunity to build new relationships. Inkternships allow participants to explore interests, expand horizons, gain new perspectives, and skill-build. Inkterns work closely with their “host team" to contribute to high-impact work, and are also paired-up with a sponsor who provides guidance and feedback. At the end of the Inkternship, Inkterns return back to their "home team" with a completely new perspective, and are able share their experiences and learnings to further build collective business knowledge and increase cross-functional collaboration.
  • InkyU: Our learning and development programs, including our learning university (InkyU), are designed to empower leaders, team members, and the entire organization to discover passions, develop skills and explore new paths.

How to Get Hired

We asked CustomInk for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look for candidates who demonstrate a natural fit for our Core Values (Golden Rule, Ownership and Innovation) and company character. Candidates who also demonstrate attributes toward treating others well, working hard, taking pride in their work, and seeking feedback for continuous growth definitely stand out. We’re looking for that Inker spark, people who are authentic and positive in all that they do.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Presenting a polished first impression that is genuine and professional goes a long way. Candidates who have taken the time to get to know CustomInk, our Core Values, and what makes our team unique gets our attention. We have a very in depth interview process and candidates who do their homework can demonstrate their enthusiasm and excitement as early in the process as our online application, which includes a cover letter, resume, and a questionnaire.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We’ve been fortunate to see growth across all areas of the business year over year, a trend that we don’t see slowing down! We are expanding our presence in the Dallas/Forth Worth area in 2015 and will expand our search to include operational roles there as well as a variety of roles in our other locations.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

All of our applications start online! We encourage interested candidates to visit our jobs page ( for the most up-to-date postings. Our website is chock-full of information about our customers, the business, our growth story, leadership and, of course, open jobs. Check out our streaming, uncensored customer reviews to see what matters to our customers and the many ways Inkers can have an impact. Our 'Ink of the Week" program ( is another awesome way to see first-hand the pride and passion our customers' have for the custom products they design with us. We also love to meet candidates in person at industry and university events, and we encourage candidates to follow us on social media and/or sign up for email alerts to be notified when a job that fits their interests becomes open.
