Perks and Programs

We asked Custom Ink to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Live Well - Wellness Program: Custom Ink's Live Well program helps team members be well physically, socially, and financially and provides simple, affordable, and accessible tools to do just that.
  • Exceptional Health Coverage: Custom Ink picks up 99% of team member premiums, ensuring that Inkers not only feel taken care of, but that they get the care and coverage they need at an affordable price.
  • Lead Well: Custom Ink's leadership development program was designed to build bench strength at all levels. It links with Leadership Principles, integrates with Core Values, and supports building character.
  • Inkademy Awards: Custom Ink's formal annual recognition program encourages team members to recognize each other for their exemplary demonstration of the three Core Values: Golden Rule, Ownership, and Innovation, as well as acknowledging a team of Inkers who went above and beyond.
  • Three Hearts: Custom Ink cares about its co-workers, customers, and communities. The Three Hearts Initiative was created to answer the call of Inkers -- to do more, to do the right thing, and to make a difference.
  • Inkternships: Similar to “internship” programs, the goal is to provide Inkers with exposure to other areas of the business, real hands-on experience, and the opportunity to build new relationships. Inkternships allow participants to explore interests, expand horizons, gain new perspectives, and skill-build. Inkterns work closely with their “host team" to contribute to high-impact work, and are also paired-up with a sponsor who provides guidance and feedback. At the end of the Inkternship, Inkterns return back to their "home team" with a completely new perspective, and are able share their experiences and learnings to further build collective business knowledge and increase cross-functional collaboration.
  • InkyU: Custom Ink's learning and development programs, including InkyU (Custom Ink's learning university), are designed to empower leaders, team members, and the entire organization to discover passions, develop skills and explore new paths.

How to Get Hired

We asked Custom Ink for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look for candidates whose personal values align with our Core Values focused culture. People who have demonstrated treating others well, working hard and taking pride in their work, and seeking out feedback to continuously improve stand out during our search for new Inkers.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Presenting a polished first impression that is genuine and professional goes a long way. It is important for candidates to take the time to understand what CustomInk is all about. Candidates who have done their homework allow us to get off to a great start in our very in depth interview process; this homework can be demonstrated as early as our online application which can include a cover letter, resume, and even a questionnaire.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Our In-House Production and Stores team are likely to see a lot of growth and change this coming year. Our production roles demand Inkers who are detail-oriented, efficient, and know how to work as part of a team - required ingredients to ensure we craft the high-quality products we’ve promised our customers. In stores, we deliver the level of service we’re known for online -  in person and one-on-one, which allows us to build stronger relationships with our customers. It goes without saying that these roles are matches for outgoing, solution-oriented, and driven salespeople that love to come through for others. In sales, we seek friendly and reliable individuals who are dedicated to helping customers have a great experience. You must understand and care about building relationships, and have the communication skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to create customers for life!

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

All of our application processes happen online! Our jobs page (http://www.customink.com/about/jobs/openings) is always up to date with our latest roles.
