What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
The key word I look for in all interviews is "Impact". Networking is a small industry dominated by a few massive players. When people come to Cumulus it is often because they want to have an impact, to make a difference, and to see the fruits of their labor. Cumulus is a company of innovators and action-oriented doers.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Today’s talent market is incredibly competitive, and we recognize it’s a candidates market right now. We try to be very responsive and connect with all those who are interested in exploring opportunities at Cumulus. We seek diversity and consider candidates at all levels. We appreciate intelligent, hard-working, communicative team players and, for most of our roles, some experience in the networking domain is, if not required, really nice to have. If a candidate is a clear self-starter who is driven to make a difference he or she will clearly stand out in the interview process.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
The coming year will be one of rapid growth for Cumulus we will increase our headcount by about 45%. Most of that growth will be in the field where we are seeking Account Executives and Systems Engineers in all regions around the globe. We are also always hiring for the best routing, networking, and Linux talent in our engineering teams in Mountain View, North Carolina and Bangalore.
