Perks and Programs

We asked Credit Acceptance Corporation to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Music, Magic and More: Music, Magic, Theatre & More: Every year, Credit Acceptance purchases a variety of premier entertainment tickets in Detroit and Las Vegas. It might be a featured magic show in Las Vegas, an outdoor concert at an historic venue in Detroit or a ride for two on the High Roller at the Linq Hotel. The company holds a team member raffle every week during the summer for these tickets and more.
  • Social, Sports and Fitness: On a monthly basis, we bring team members together to create a sense of camaraderie and competitive spirit. Team members might compete in tournaments like corn hole, volleyball, ladder golf or workout in fitness classes such as Boot Camp, Yoga and Zumba. We also never miss the opportunity to be social with events like our much anticipated Year-end Party, Team Member Appreciation Day and Annual Company Birthday Party.
  • Crunch Time Relief: To thank team members for working long hours during the company's busiest season, Credit Acceptance provides lots of special perks like breakfast, lunch and snacks; 10-minute massages; gift cards and more.
  • Casual Dress for Success: We go casual, all day, every day! Jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, sports jerseys and even flip-flops are acceptable any day of the week at Credit Acceptance.
  • Special Parking Passes for Special People: We try to lighten the load for expectant mothers. In the last trimester of pregnancy, they get preferred parking close to the main entrance at all Credit Acceptance locations and they can even request a big, cushy desk chair!
  • PRIDE Parking: If you show your PRIDE values at Credit Acceptance, there's a chance you might win a premier parking spot for the month. Our managers catch team members in the act of displaying PRIDE and nominate them to be placed in a monthly raffle for a PRIDE parking pass.
  • Work Perks: Team members enjoy discounts for products and services that include travel, entertainment, dry cleaning, banking, hotel stays and cell phone plans, and even discount admittance to places like the Detroit Zoo.

How to Get Hired

We asked Credit Acceptance Corporation for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

First and foremost, we look for candidates who embody our PRIDE values.  This is the basis for everything we do, from the first interview we conduct to our ongoing performance management once a candidate becomes a team member.  PRIDE is the one constant throughout the organization; whether you’re seeking to join us in Customer Service, at the VP level or anywhere in between, you’ll need PRIDE.   Beyond PRIDE we look for a few other common threads.  We thoroughly examine each candidate’s employment history and tend to favor strong tenure and career moves that are made due to advancement.  Another characteristic that can indicate a strong fit would be above average abstract reasoning.  Candidates who can demonstrate strength in the areas of critical thinking and problem solving tend to thrive in our culture.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Our recruiters unanimously gave the same answer when posed this question.  They all said a candidate who can clearly highlight their accomplishments on their resume will rise to the top of the list.  It’s also important that candidates can speak to these accomplishments clearly during an interview.  Getting our attention online is easier than most think, as everyone on our staffing team is active on LinkedIn.  Want to get our attention?  Get active on LinkedIn and connect with us directly.  Sharing your expertise on social media or via professional associations is something that is sure to impress our hiring team.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

This coming year will not deviate far from prior years as we are continuing to grow and improve every area of the organization. We are going to be heavily focused on filling roles in sales, IT, analytics and various areas of our contact centers, which include customer service and collections, among others.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

If you want to get started, the best place to go is right to our website.  We have some great content to help you decide if our organization is a fit for you and we post all of our jobs here.  Want more information?  Check us out on Vimeo and connect with our recruiters on LinkedIn.
