We asked Cornerstone OnDemand to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Bring Your Parents to Work Day: Parents are invited to tour headquarters for the day and attend classes that range from product demos and information sessions, to personal development opportunities and how to optimize their "company pitch" for bragging about their kids. They finally gain an understanding of what their kids do for a living and a holistic sense of the company where they're building their careers.
  • 7-week sabbatical: In a Cornerstar's seventh year, they are encouraged and empowered to take seven weeks of consecutive paid vacation. All we ask is that they share pictures of their wonderful adventures and tag them on social media. We've seen Cornerstars traveling the world with their kids, some exploring solo, others celebrating with a staycation at home and even two great friends combined their sabbaticals to travel together in what they coined their "brobatical."
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Full-time Cornerstars who have been with the company for a minimum of 3 years are eligible for tuition reimbursement for any degree program or course that will enhance their contribution to the organization. Three thousand dollars is available to Cornerstars who have been with the company for at least 3 years, and five thousand dollars for Cornerstars  who have been with the company for at least 5 years.
  • Service Awards: In addition to regular swag, when Cornerstars reach milestone years they receive service awards that include branded bags, hooded sweatshirts and performance jackets. These awards are worn like badges of honor. In their 7th year, in addition to their sabbatical, Cornerstars are able to select the sports/wellness equipment of their choice. In the years that follow, the gifts are chosen specifically for that Cornerstar and are branded to their specific preferences and taste.
  • Development Day: Every other month, Cornerstone hosts Development Days across the globe. This day of learning is run by Cornerstars, for Cornerstars. The entire day is set aside for professional and personal development, as well as everything in between. With classes that range from product training and meditation, to tips for being an effective remote employee and tequila tasting, there are classes for everyone. This opportunity to learn from and teach our colleagues has strengthened our corporate culture and our team.
  • Bring Your Child To Work Day: Cornerstone's Bring Your Child to Work Day is not like anything you've ever seen. With close to 100 kids under the age of 10 years, our day of programming focuses on applying high level concepts to hands on engaging activities. We couldn't imagine a better way to teach these little ones about technology, then giving them marshmallows and straws to build infrastructure, or helping them understand what it means to find a sales deal by having them search our office for different sized stars that represent different deals. The kids develop a great deal of pride in the place their parents work and always ask if they can return to the office.
  • Flour Power: Flour Power is a Cornerstone bake club that offers members an opportunity to bake, share recipes and eat delicious treats. Members are placed on teams and are responsible for baking once for their team. When it's not their week, they can count on a decadent treat being delivered to their desk by the other members of their team. Recipes and feedback are shared in an online community, and at the end of a 12-week cycle, each team selects a baking representative to compete against the others in the ThunderDOUGH-mmmmmmm. This tasty club keeps getting yummier!
  • SPARK Mentorships: Cornerstone partners with the non-profit SPARK and matches Cornerstars in one-on-one mentor relationships with junior high school students who have been identified as high risk for dropping out of high school and not going to college. We bus the students to our office one day per week, where they meet with their mentor to work on a project that they're passionate about. The 12-week program culminates with a science fair-style showcase, where the students share their projects with their families and their community.
