Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) support an inclusive culture by offering hundreds of cultural, networking, and professional development events and forums each year, connecting our employees. After participating in ERG Mentorship programs, more than half of mentees have been promoted. Our ERGs provide feedback on new products to ensure we are caring for our diverse customer base. We offer a regular national broadcast, the “Employee Enrichment Series,” to increase cultural awareness and educate employees about our D&I efforts.   • Military Benefits and Programs: Comcast NBCUniversal supports the military community. We're delivering on our commitment to hire 10,000 veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses by the end of 2017. We support our employees who continue serving the country in the National Guard and Reserve while pursuing a career with us by offering industry-leading benefits, including: a human resources team dedicated to assisting our military employees and their families throughout military training/deployments; continued benefits (health, 401(k), etc.) for up to three years if employees are called to active duty; up to 15 days paid time off annually for military training in addition to normal paid time off.   • Community Investment Programs: Making a positive impact in communities where employees live and work is a key part of the Comcast NBCUniversal culture. We support our year-round commitment to service each year with Comcast Cares Day, when more than 100,000 volunteers revitalize parks, beautify schools, stock food banks, refresh playgrounds, provide support services, and much more. It’s one of the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer efforts. Internet Essentials, the largest program of its kind, has provided at-home high-speed internet access to 1 million low-income American families, benefiting 4 million people. Comcast also hosts the nation’s largest workplace mentoring program in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Through the program, about 400 "Littles" spend time with “Bigs” at Comcast offices in 17 cities.
  • Know Your Value Program: Know Your Value is an employee extension of the national program developed by NBCUniversal News Group and MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski. It’s designed to empower employees and highlight the importance of providing a voice to everyone, regardless of their gender or role. Sessions topics include the importance of defining your personal brand, ways to better manage your physical, financial and emotional health, pathways to success, and more. More than 350 selected employees from across Comcast NBCUniversal meet at events to discuss understanding, developing and applying one’s personal value in ways that can advance their careers and help the Company. Connections fostered through the program have enabled 35% of participants to accept new roles and 65% to assume new responsibilities.
  • Wellness Programs: Our wellness programs connect our employees to programs that support their well-being. We offer a Health Assistant through Accolade, an independent company with a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health benefits experts focused on providing our employees confidential, free support for any health or health benefits concerns. Second opinion service provides access to top-ranked specialists from across the country who evaluate diagnosis and treatment plans. Virtual doctor visits through Doctor on Demand provide remote access to board-certified physicians. Convenient online stress management and sleep improvement programs are available as well. We also offer free, professional financial coaching for benefits-eligible employees, and we provide programs that help support everyday savings on home and car insurance and credit protection services.
  • Entertainment Sneak Peeks: Our employees enjoy Sneak Peek screenings of NBCUniversal movies and TV shows before they are released to the public. Movie screenings included: Fate of the Furious, Secret Life of Pets, Race, Jason Bourne, Sing, and Despicable Me 3. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Comcast NBCUniversal is looking for dynamic, entrepreneurial, innovative thinkers who are drawn to a collaborative and teamwork-focused culture. We recruit and hire solution-oriented individuals who take initiative, move quickly and execute well. Candidates who think “customer first” – while being smart, energetic and competitive – are a great fit. Prospective employees must be curious individuals with a passion to learn, grow their expertise, and stay current on the latest news and information that surrounds the media, technology and television industries. Ideal candidates are agile, quick thinking and bright, while also being adaptable. We are constantly evolving and leading in our industry; prospective employees should anticipate doing the same.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees should be intentional in their job search with Comcast NBCUniversal. While we are always growing our teams, this year we are heavily focused on filling positions within our customer experience team, retail stores, advertising sales, technology and product teams, and more specifically discovering strong, change-making, leader-level candidates with experience in financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, big data and advanced advertising expertise, and who have global experience. NBCUniversal is looking for great digital media talent in technology, journalism, content and sales; technology-based talent skilled in everything from backend infrastructure to front-end web and software development; and data scientists with experience in the use of statistical techniques and analytical modeling.
