We asked Choozle to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Bi-annual off-site summits: Choozle hosts two summits each year in Breckenridge, CO. We bring the entire Choozle team together for team building, idea activating, and plenty of fun. Our summits typically include snow tubing, dinner, karaoke/dancing, and one "free day" with a $150 stipend for each employee to use towards an activity of their choosing. In the past, team members have used their stipends for skiing/snowboarding, golf, spa services, horseback riding, dog sledding, snowmobiling, and more.
  • Quarterly volunteer day: Each quarter Choozle employees spend the day volunteering as a team. In the past, we have served at the Denver Rescue Mission and painted/sorted and organized donated clothing for the Good Samaritan House, both which are local Denver nonprofits.
  • Team breakfast, lunch, and happy hours: We feel very lucky to be able to go to the office each day and hang out with a bunch of our closest friends. That's why we often have all-team breakfasts, lunches and happy hours, all-expenses paid, so we can spend time getting to know each other even better and break up the workday. We also have monthly birthday treats.
  • Yearly ping pong tournament: Each year, Choozle hosts a ping pong tournament, called Playing It Forward, with all profits donated. In 2017, the 80's themed competition raised $1,180 for two local nonprofits.
  • Quarterly education stipend: Every quarter, Choozle employees receive $250 to spend towards education. This can include anything from student loan reimbursement to glass blowing, cooking classes, a zoo pass, music lessons, or industry courses.
  • Monthly health & wellness stipend: Each member of the Choozle team automatically receives $65 per paycheck to spend on their personal health and wellness. Employees often use it towards a gym membership, massages, fitness classes, or other health-related expenses.
  • Pet-friendly office: Any and all Choozle employees can bring their well-behaved furry friends into the office whenever they'd like!
  • Yearly conference program: Each employee is given the choice to attend one conference per year in their field, all costs completely covered by Choozle.
  • Parking and commute: Choozle employees are offered free parking, a bike tune-up, or bus pass to help with their transportation needs.
  • Bi-yearly in-house summits: In addition to our bi-yearly off-site summits, we host in-house summits where we fly in any remote team members for a week full of sessions, speakers, food, and fun. Our fall summit includes a Choozle birthday bash and our yearly ping pong tournament, Playing It Forward.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Do they encompass our core values? Do they seem eager to learn and hard-working? Are they willing to try new things and be flexible? We know we can teach a skill, but we can't teach an aptitude and hunger to learn. We look for those who are a "culture add". Will they contribute to diversifying the way we think?

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees should research Choozle and become familiar with our culture, our values, and the things about us that are appealing to them. They should also form thoughtful questions and ask them throughout the interview, have a basic understanding of what we do and the industry, and ask themselves if our core values match theirs.
