Perks and Programs

We asked CCMSI to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Service Award Vacations: Once an employee reaches 15 years of service, and at each 5 year anniversary thereafter, CCMSI provides them with a choice of a recognition gift or to travel to a destination of their choice. Many of our employees have taken vacations that they have only dreamed of. Once the employee decides where they want to go, the travel arrangements are booked for the employee. This is very popular among our workforce and is unique within our culture.
  • CCMSI Presidential Scholarship Program: The CCMSI Presidential College Scholarship Program is offered to children of active regular full-time CCMSI employees. The students fill out an application and attach a written essay outlining their academic and future goals. CCMSI then selects four students entering college to receive a one year scholarship award in the amount of $2,500 each. CCMSI has awarded over $80,000 to children of employees since the program has been implemented.
  • Fun Activites at Work: Administering claims can be a grind--we infuse fun into our worklife by holding many employee events all year long, picnics, holiday gatherings, crafts, ice cream socials, outings with staff, holiday events, i.e., Cinco de Mayo, Halloween--many of these events involve children of employees.
  • Summer Flex Program: To allow our employees to enjoy the summer and time with their families, many of our offices allow employees to work a flexible schedule in the summer, whereby they can work a half day, generally on Fridays, without requiring them to use any paid time off. This program runs from early May to late September and is very popular with all of our staff.
  • Employees In Need: One of our long-term employees was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The office she works in held fundraisers, took monetary donations, & setup a benefit for the employee. Staff purchased orange ribbons in her honor to help raise funds, along with a blood drive that was held in her honor. CCMSI matched the employee donations. The employee was allowed to work from home for six months after receiving a bone marrow transplant. We are pleased to share that the employee is now in remission and is home with her spouse and two young children, and happily back to work. We have had numerous employees who have experienced tragedies and our company and our staff have responded immediately to these needs to provide not only financial support, but emotional support as well.
  • Disaster Relief: CCMSI has offices in 38 states. When a national disaster strikes, our company is poised to respond. We raise funds all year long through our Disaster Relief Fund. Those funds are ear-marked as financial resources to respond to emergency efforts. For example, during Hurricane Harvey, our employee Angie Blakeney along with 13 others from a local church in Illinois loaded up their vehicles and drove to Katy, Texas to provide relief for victims of Hurricane Harvey. Our employee was provided with a week of pay (Sabbatical leave) and CCMSI provided monetary funds for the group to purchase supplies to make repairs to the homes damaged. During the Flint, Michigan water crisis, employee Kelly Helenthal organized a plan to donate water by driving a 28 foot truck filled with donated water.
  • Wounded Warrior Project: CCMSI Chicago employees raised $1,450 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Many employees donated to the clothing drive and also donated blood. When dropping off the children’s clothing donation they seemed a little surprised at the quantity of items donated. Based on the success the Chicago office had, they will continue to collect clothing items and periodically donate them to organizations who give the clothing directly to those in need.
  • CCMSI Learning - Learning Management System: CCMSI has implemented a vast learning management system available to all CCMSI employees. CCMSI Learning provides employees online training courses with a course library of 200+ courses available in addition to the custom CCMSI-related courses we build and record in-office.
  • Corporate Training Program: CCMSI hosts onsite Corporate Training programs for staff and leaders designed to create learning opportunities, engage leaders, and sustain our Corporate Culture. These sessions are attended and taught by Executives and Corporate managers and coordinated by CCMSI's Corporate Trainer, held in our Corporate headquarters in Danville, Illinois.
