  • Employee Referral Program: Carbon Black offers $2,500 per full-time hired employee referral. Additionally, we hold quarterly raffles where employees whose referrals were hired have a chance to win another prize worth $500. And we also have an annual raffle where employees whose referrals were hired throughout the year have a chance to win a cash prize of $5,000.
  • Philanthropy: Carbon Black's Culture Team (known as Life At Cb) sets up events to give back to the community. This includes sponsoring local non-profits such as TUGG, holding on-site and online fundraisers, hosting parties to raise money, setting up an on-site day-of-service, and more. Also, since we have flexible PTO, employees are encouraged to take time off to give back to the causes that matter most to them.
  • Life At Cb: Carbon Black's "Culture Club", Life At Cb, includes an arm that focuses on social events. In the past, this group put together events such as Halloween Costume contests, Thanksgiving Potlucks, large-scale holiday parties, a cornhole championship, and more. Additionally, this group sets up sports teams within the organization (such as softball) where our teams compete with other local teams.
  • The Cigar Room: The Cigar Room is our womens-focused initiative where we help empower the women of Carbon Black. Through this program, we have an online community where women can discuss topics, articles, and more. We also have formalized events throughout the year which we host on-site or partner with other local companies to host. Lastly, we invest in sending our women to relevant events such as the Mass Conference for Women, She Geeks Out, Lesbians Who Tech, and more.
  • Flexible Time off/Flexible Work: In addition to our flexible vacation policy, Carbon Black offers flexible work arrangements. Although many people work in core business hours (9 to 5), many of our employees have the flexibility of start/end time, work from home days, and more.
  • Lactation and Meditation/Prayer rooms: Carbon Black recently installed rooms throughout the Waltham HQ that is dedicated for mothers who are breast feeding and individuals who need space for meditation or prayer throughout the day.
  • Food and Catering: Snacks, soda fountain, water, and tea/coffee are all available at our locations. Additionally, we offer bagels on Mondays, monthly on-site happy hours, catered team meetings, and catered events. We also have a weekly farm-fresh food delivery from 9 Miles East and daily lunch delivery service via Peach.
  • Discounts: We offer discounts on Verizon Wireless, Care.com, pet insurance, and home/auto insurance. We also have free or subsided options for Fitbit devices.
  • Fitness/Wellness: At our Waltham HQ, we have a free gym on-site. We occasionally host workout groups throughout the year (Zumba, circuit, yoga). We also offer flu shots and chair massages. At our Boulder office, we offer bike storage and showers on-site.
  • Dry Cleaning: At our Waltham HQ, we offer a service that provides dry cleaning and tailoring with drop off/pick up right at the office.
