We asked BrainStorm, Inc. to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Culture Club: BrainStorm has an internal culture club that plans bi-monthly out of office activities for the entire organization like bubble soccer, tubing down the Provo river, and trips to local amusement parks.
  • Corporate Giving: BrainStorm provides opportunities for employees to give back to their community by planning bi-monthly service activities. Some organizations BrainStorm has worked with are Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, and the local animal shelter.
  • Corporate Ski Passess: BrainStorm provides employees with free, corporate passes to local ski resorts where they can also mountain bike and hike during the warmer months.
  • The BOOM Campaign: Bi-annually, BrainStorm funds campaigns for employees to go on an adventure or cross an item of their bucket list. Employees submit applications about their adventure and a winner is chosen bi-annually. Submissions have included summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, going on a philanthropic mission, and travelling to Ireland to make a documentary.
  • The Monthly $50: Employees are given $50 dollars every month to make a difference in the lives of someone they come into contact through work. This can include sending a care package to a client, vendor, or work acquaintance that has had a baby, gone through surgery, or just needs a little something to brighten their day.
  • The Holiday $100: At the holidays, employees are given $100 to give back in a way that they choose. People have donated in various ways including donating to their favorite charity, giving it to a family in need, or even using the money as a seed to raise more money for charity.

      What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

      Some of the key characteristics that make for great BrainStorm employees are passion, organization, flexibility, a work hard, play hard attitude, being people-focused, and the ability to learn and relearn as necessary.

      What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

      Our culture is very important to us, and we want to make sure that you are a good match for our company and that we’re a good match for you. Some of the best ways to stand out are to be passionate, be driven to excellence, show care for others, be proactive in reaching out to us, and just be yourself. If you are passionate about corporate learning, great! But if you are passionate about hang gliding or volunteering, we want to know that too. If you’re authentic and show us your best self, you’ll stand out.

      Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

      As a growing company, there is always room for the right person. We make it a habit to always keep our eyes open for great talent. If you come in for an interview and we find you to be a good fit for the company we will find you a place, even if it is in a different position than what you applied for.
