Perks and Programs

We asked Bound to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Bound Breakfast Club: This monthly cross-department group meeting exists to focus on culture across the business. We shape and drive all things that guide our culture: recognition programs, vision and values, company outings, community services and more.
  • Bound High Fives: Our peer recognition program is created to give "high fives" to coworkers in our value areas of Learn, Connect, and Grow. High fives can be traded in for quarterly award gift cards in $100 amounts to Austin area restaurants. We love to share experiences!
  • Bound Community Service: In partnership with Austin's Entrepreneur's Foundation and Amplify Austin, we contribute to local community service organizations with our time and money. In terms of time we contribute one Friday each quarter to service and for money we gave a percentage of our company shares to the organization.
  • Bound Barkers: Everyday is "bring your dog to work day" at Bound. There are often multiple dogs roaming the halls on any given day — and they all get along!
  • Bound PTO: We do not track time. We do not accrue vacation days. You need time away? Coordinate with your team and manager and take it!
  • Bound 401k and FSA: These may not sound like exceptional programs to the Google's of the world. But our staff here at our early stage company believe it to be exceptional that we offer savings programs that help their family and their finances.

How to Get Hired

We asked Bound for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

1. Flexibility. Gauging a candidate's ability to work in a startup/early stage environment. Our "agile" enviroment means there are less concrete processes and systems than someone at, say, Dell or Oracle may be used to having. In our view, it's a strength of the business, to some, it's not the structure they desire. 2. Collaborative. We are an incredibly open and supportive team. Sometimes each of us lead, and sometimes we support. If a person only likes to do things their way, they likely won't be comfortable here. Input from others is another of our strengths. 3. Balance. We live to create experiences for each other by working hard while allowing time off. People at the far end of being a slacker or being a workaholic don't do well here. We work, we play.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

A candidate should come in with at least a high-level understanding of our business. We don't expect everyone to understand us inside and out, but you have to at least make an effort to know what we do and how we do it. If you don't get it right, that's okay, but the attempt is a must.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We're always looking for the next great sales, CS, marketing or engineering candidate. We'll often make the opporunistic here when a rare candidate comes along.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Interested candidates can visit our marketing site at www.bound360.com and learn about the business. Job openings are listed in our Jobs section at https://www.bound360.com/jobs/.
