What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
When evaluating prospective new team members, we look for a number of traits. As a fast-growth, energetic start up, it is equally important for employees to fit the culture, as it is for the to fit the role. We look for individuals who believe in what we are doing, who are passionate about our mission, our product and our team. We look for individuals who are kind, compassionate, inquisitive, patient and eager to learn. We look for great collaborators and trustworthy partners, who embrace failure and drive towards success.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
We look for people who are not only qualified, but also embody our mission, core values and energy. For this reason, during the interview process, candidates meet with a number of team members - both those who work directly with the potential role, and those who might not. Additionally, each team has their own unique application assignment to help the hiring team learn more about a candidate's personality and mindset. Our favorite is the required "Happiness Haiku" for Customer Happiness Associate applicants.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
All teams are experiencing growth and will be adding team members that will make a significant impact in 2018, including Wholesale Planning, Design, Sales and Marketing.
