  • Annual Theme Party: Holy moly do we like a theme party! When you work so hard, coming together with your peers (especially when there is a theme) to enjoy a night of costumes (including contests with awards and bragging rights galore!), dancing (not to leave out the assured choreographed department routine), photo booths and dinner..This is one of our favorite events!
  • CEDAR Leadership Training: Developing our leadership brand of CEDAR and all that our acronym stands for and more (Connect, Expect, Develop, Act, Reward), having a dedicated tract for our leaders to polish their skills and learn more has really added to our organization's culture and succession planning.

Through an application process, team members are selected to train and develop to learn what leadership means and how to grow!
  • 360 Review - EXCEL: An annual review process focused on our core company attributes of EXCEL - Excellence, X-Factor, Community, expertise and Leadership. We hire for skill set and attributes. being a positive force in our culture is as important as being skilled in your role...and that is how we assess performance across the board.
  • FISH! Training & Store: Every new hire is trained on our culture based off of learning from the FISH! story of the Pike's Place Fish Market in Seattle. Rewarding behavior and performance that is above and beyond and demonstrative of our values is key. Not only will "kudos" be splashed on our intranet for all team members to see, but managers and peers alike can award "bucks" to then be redeemed in our store...From logo-ed apparel, fancy tech gear and more, being able to shop because you are a valued team member is an added perk.
  • Paid Training & Development Platforms: Embracing a life learner mindset is another key value we promote. To encourage such, we have several company-paid training platforms for employees to leverage and use for personal and professional growth. We utilize "any time learning" and post our leadership training materials, department tools, speaker collateral and individual written development plans that are a topic of focus in each "one to one" meeting between manager and employee so it remains a top focus throughout the year.
  • Monthly Awards & Recognition: At our monthly "All Team" national call and presentation, not only do we review company financials and "what's new" across all departments, but we focus on top sales and consulting team members. Additionally, as our culture promotes, we award a "Glowing Jellyfish" award for the team member who has exuded our teamwork and values mantra...Via input and votes from our full leadership team , such a winner is awarded a trophy along with bucks for our store for every mentioned winner that month!
  • Fun Committees: Each office has an allocated budget and "fun committee" to plan monthly events and fun things to do with their office and visiting remote team members.
