What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Energy, positive attitude, aptitude, flexibility, preparedness, responsiveness, and life-long learner are key characteristics. Prospective candidates should be prepared at all times in the interview process. Candidates should have appropriate greetings on their voice mail, and respond to voice mails, emails, and requests in a timely, being polite and courteous in their communication. Responsiveness is very important, as it is an early indicator of their sense of urgency. As we are a sales and professional services organization that prides itself on providing an exceptional customer experience to our customers, it is important that we respond to customers in a timely fashion. This not only applies to external customers, but internal customers, as well, as we foster an environment of mutual respect, accountability, teamwork, and collaboration. We also look for team members that are innately curious, powerful desire to grow and improve.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
It starts with a well-written resume highlighting their skills, abilities, achievements and accomplishments. Highlighting what sets them apart from their peers. Also, show “extra-curricular activities and volunteer work”. Candidates should be proactive and reach out to us directly establishing a connection, even if there is not a current job posting. Connect with us on LinkedIn, this will show us that you are interested in our organization. When the time comes for them to interview with us, be prepared. Come into the office dressed for success, and with a list of well-thought out questions. Display the key characteristics of energy, positive attitude, aptitude, flexibility, preparedness, and responsiveness throughout the interview process, but let also let their “authentic self” shine through! Candidates should show they have done their due diligence by researching the company, the role, the applications, etc. Also demonstrate effective follow-up and follow through (send a thank-you note)
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We are always looking for experience functional software consultants, preferably with experience implementing one of our software solutions. We are always on the look-out for experiences sales professionals, with experience selling ERP, CRM, or HCM solutions. As we are looking to further build our team of software implementation professionals, we will be looking for strong, entry-level consulting candidates that we can train to be functional software consultants. Ideal candidates will have an accounting, finance, business degree or an MBA.
