  • Blue Beyond Development Days: Because we're primarily a virtual team collaborating from different locations, it's vital for us to have periodic in-person meetings. We call these quarterly meetings "Blue Beyond Days" — It's an opportunity to push pause on daily tasks and focus on each other. We share personal and business-related experiences, thoughts, questions, concerns and learnings. The all-day meeting is also an opportunity to align on our strategy, values, organizational culture and aspirations. Adjacent to Blue Beyond Day, we have a "Day of Service" where our team collectively provides a community service (i.e. picking up trash along a public beach).
  • Workplace Giving Program: Blue Beyond Consulting is committed to showing gratitude by helping others. Finding ways to scale this commitment as our company grows is a priority. We have a workplace giving program in which our company matches employees’ charitable donations, up to $250 per employee, per year, towards all eligible registered charitable organizations. In addition to that, we hold fundraisers to support the work that our pro-bono clients are doing in the community.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: We aspire to enable each of our team members to have a fulfilling career while managing their work within a healthy and balanced personal life. We understand that each day brings different personal, family and work responsibilities that cannot all be scheduled into a 9-5 timeframe. Our focus is on meeting and exceeding our clients’ needs and expectations and being flexible in scheduling in order to do so. Each employee takes ownership of work responsibilities and manages their daily schedule in a way that meets client needs and enables the flexibility to attend to family and personal needs.
  • 401k / Profit Sharing: We offer a 401k program, with up to 3% of total compensation employer contribution, plus up to 2% of total compensation paid out in annual profit sharing, with both subject to business performance.
  • Health and Wellness Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision — with the employee premium 100% paid by Blue Beyond. In addition, we offer short- and long-term disability and up to 16 weeks paid maternity leave. We don't have a traditional 'accrued time off' policy and allow our employees the flexibility to manage work and vacations according to their schedules and work commitments in order to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

    What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

    A great fit for Blue Beyond is someone who is a creative problem solver, excellent at managing and galvanizing teams to achieve business outcomes. Someone who knows how to use a wide variety of channels, tools and technology for communication and employee engagement.  They can create and manage stellar project plans, drive execution, and anticipate potential problems to produce contingency plans. They can quickly analyze scenarios and “connect dots” to determine where value can be added. They are a fantastic writer, editor and storyteller in a variety of formats (e.g. web, blogs, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). It is important to them to build strong relationships with co-workers and clients. They have a learning mindset, listen well, and show up with authenticity and genuine care for co-workers and clients.

    What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

    We are wowed by candidates that are willing to talk about their bumps in the road along with their accomplishments. We know that often these moments provide their greatest learnings, and provides us insight into their self-awareness, which is key in recognizing what other team members and clients are going through.

    We are always looking for great people who value authenticity, listening, and a learning mindset.
