Employer brands reflect how people perceive the value of a company’s workplace. This brand is meaningful not only to employees, but – critically – to prospective employees as well. According to PwC’s 16th annual Global CEO Survey, one of CEO’s’ top four concerns is access to key skills, so creating and communicating an attractive employer brand has never been more important.
Great Rated! Reviews tell the story of a company’s workplace culture based on the results of confidential surveys distributed randomly to a representative sample of each company’s current employees—so you can always trust that the results provide a true picture of employees’ experience in the workplace. The survey used is the Trust Index® tool from our parent company, Great Place to Work Institute, which has used this survey for more than 25 years with millions of employees worldwide.
The other important factor to consider in employment branding is the experience of prospective employees. Was their candidate experience positive? Would these candidates re-apply to another opportunity at the same company? Would they refer someone else to an open position? And, outside the recruitment arena, would the experience impact their buying habits? Answers to these and many other questions are gathered by the Talent Board, the non-profit behind the annual Candidate Experience Awards (CandE). In 2013, Talent Board evaluated survey responses from nearly 50,000 candidates who applied to approximately 100 companies, and 64 companies earned a 2013 CandE Award.
Great Place to Work and Great Rated! are pleased not only to be a sponsor of the 2014 Candidate Experience Awards, but to recognize CandE Award winners in our Great Rated! Reviews. Congratulations to Accenture, Capital One, Deloitte, Genentech, Intel Corporation, Intuit Inc., and W. L. Gore & Associates who all demonstrate their strong employment brands through employees’ validation in their Great Rated! Reviews and candidates’ validation through the 2013 CandE Award.
The deadline to apply to the 2014 CandE Awards is April 30 and the details can be found here.
Companies highly regarded by their employees and praised by candidates have great stories to tell, and we’re so pleased to help make that possible.
