Perks and Programs

We asked BCU to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Flexible Working Arrangements: BCU encourages a healthy work-life balance for employees by offering flexible work schedules and "work where you work best" opportunities. This empowers staff, allowing them to structure their work and personal lives according to their needs.
  • Best@BCU Concierge Services: One of our most popular perks is a complimentary concierge service designed to reduce stress and give employees back some much needed time. The full-time concierge works onsite at BCU and is ready to help employees by eliminating the distractions of day-to-day tasks and helping them to stay focused on their jobs. Concierge services include everything from shopping, car maintenance, gift wrapping, picking up lunch, grabbing coffee, vacation planning and everything in between!
  • Success Share: Designed to foster teamwork and a sense of ownership in achieving organizational goals, all employees are eligible to share in each other’s success by receiving a percentage of their pay as an annual bonus for attaining BCU's key performance indicators. Success Share updates are displayed throughout the building and communicated during monthly town hall meetings with the CEO.
  • Dress For Your Day Policy: BCU employees plan their dress as they plan their day, choosing attire that fits their schedule, environment, location, and personal style. As an added bonus, employees enjoy an even more relaxed summer dress code that includes shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  • Onsite Gym and Fitness Classes: As part of BCU's commitment to overall well-being, employees have access to state-of-the-art gym equipment and certified instructor-led group fitness classes at no charge. Classes include something for everyone, from boot camp to yoga, and are held before and after work, and at mid-day for everyone's convenience. Those that want more individualized instruction can also enroll in personal training.
  • Professional Services: Employees have the opportunity to take advantage of a number of convenient professional services at attractive, reduced rates. Most services are offered onsite and include, but are not limited to men's and women's haircuts, massages, dry cleaning, and fresh, healthy vending. Multiple childcare providers, located within the office park, offer special rates for BCU Employees.
  • Giving Back: BCU believes in improving the world around us, starting with the members, companies and communities we serve. Our organizational belief in social responsibility is one that's shared by every member of the BCU team. All Employees are encouraged to give back to the community through individual, group, or company supported volunteer opportunities, including company-matched monetary donations and sixteen paid hours of volunteer service. Four of the charities BCU supports annually are those selected by the employees. The 2017-18 charities we support include Special Olympics, Camp Kesem, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, and our Angel Tree of Giving. In addition, since 2015 BCU has awarded over $100,000 in college scholarships to distinguished high school seniors.
  • Halloween Havoc: Halloween is BCU's favorite holiday! Employees are encouraged to dress up and compete for cash prizes and bragging rights in categories such as best costume for individual, duo, and group. Skits are a fan favorite as well as the eating contest with food ranging from donut holes to spaghetti. Many departments spend an entire year planning their theme, costumes and decorations.
  • Kids Day: BCU parents are proud to share their work environment with those that matter most to them! Each summer, employees are invited to bring their kids (age 4-12) to work. Kids are treated to what we affectionately call “Camp BCU” for a fun-filled day of educational games, crafts, treasure hunts, dunk tanks, and giveaway items, and seemingly unending treats.
  • Summer Fun: Throughout the summer, BCU’s senior management team takes to the grills to host monthly BBQ lunches where employees indulge in skillfully crafted burgers, hotdogs, and a smorgasbord of desserts. They take advantage of the long-awaited nice weather to eat outside and play cornhole, basketball and supersize Jenga. Every other Wednesday, staff are visited by Chilly Willy’s Ice Cream truck, delivering free sweet treats for all. Employees gather around to make their selection and take a mid-week break.
