Perks and Programs

We asked Baringa Partners (Baringa Partners NYC) to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Baringa Community Fund: A major improvement in our CSR agenda for this year has been the founding of the Baringa Community Fund. We have set up the Baringa Community Fund to allow pro-bono work to be undertaken as an employees main role rather than looking to complete charity activities outside of their normal work. This is helping us take the expertise we have gained working with our clients and then applying that to the charity sector. Annually we have devoted £250k worth of consultant time to this initiative and have so far worked with 5 charities to help in their operations.
  • Baringa Bright People Fund: From 1st April 2017, all employees will have up to $375 (or local equivalent) to use towards managing an aspect of their wellbeing. This can be anything from language lessons, sports physiotherapy or family memberships to educational attractions.
  • Baringa Brighter People Vision: In December 2016 we looked to reset our vision for how staff work and live as part of Baringa and outlined a “Brighter Together” series of initiatives and principles that together we hope will make this a place were staff can thrive.
  • Baringa 2025: This year we created our current strategic roadmap, Baringa 2025 articulates what we want the firm to 'look' and 'feel' like in eight years’ time, and is about defining the 'what' we want to be, rather than the 'how' we get there. This is a collaboration of all Baringa employees, with numerous events providing the opportunity to contribute and shape the vision for our firm in 2025. Presenting Baringa 2025 was the culmination of a 6 month process involving over 200 employees in detailed conversations to shape where we will be moving next.
  • Baringa Annual Awards: Nominations occur throughout the year by our staff and we give out 11 awards at our March company meeting. The range of awards looks to recognise the various ways in which employees can contribute to our business including championing our CSR initiatives, delivery of great projects for our clients or developing new revenue streams for the company.
  • Baringa Spotlights: To allow employees to recognise each others achievements on a daily basis we have introduced an on the spot award which gives instant recognition and can be given using our existing email or performance management system. This helps managers show appreciation for any work that goes above expectations and that might otherwise be missed in the annual award process.
