  • On-Site Gym Facilities with Personal Trainers: BHG offers employees a workout break during business hours. Employees at four of our five locations have access to 2,500 sq. ft. on-site gyms with bikes, free weights, weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, and shower facilities. A variety of group and one-on-one fitness classes are led by BHG's in-house trainers. Classes include yoga, spin, and circuit training. BHG's Manhattan office provides employees with a company-paid gym membership at the New York Health and Racquet Club.
  • Healthy Eating Habits & On-Staff Licensed Nutritionists: BHG has a certified nutritionist on staff, who provides weight-loss and nutritional guidance, instructional videos, and healthy recipes to employees. BHG’s corporate headquarters has a fully-catered on-site cafeteria, the BHG Café, serving fresh, healthy meal options, prepared by a chef. With the company’s meal card, employees can buy 4 meals and get the fifth meal on BHG. Healthy snacks are also provided to employees throughout the day.
  • Employee Recognition and Bonuses: On a monthly and annual basis, BHG holds company-wide employee recognition and award ceremonies. Company owners present trophies and bonuses to employees who demonstrate the company’s core values and excel at their work. Awards are given for achievements like ‘Impact Player of the Month’ and ‘Department MVP,' as well as superlatives like ‘Athletic All-Star.' Annually, the company's owners recognize 12 recipients for the 'Chairman Awards.’ Chairman Awards include a base pay raise and bonus. The company’s owners specifically choose recipients based on their demonstration of eight key values: PMA (positive mental attitude), results-oriented, leader, team player, runner (takes an idea or initiative and runs with it), doesn’t know the end of the day, personal life sacrifices, and extreme execution.
  • BHG Work Wishes (NEW): ‘BHG Work Wishes’ is a newly implemented program that gifts a total of $10,000 annually to two employees experiencing hardships. People may nominate themselves or a colleague.
  • BHG 'Coffee Break' (NEW): BHG’s new ‘Coffee Break’ program encourages employees to build professional relationships with each other. BHG pays for an off-site coffee break where employees are encouraged to get to know each other better, as well as gain a better understanding of their roles within the company.
  • Paid Parental Leave (NEW): BHG's employees who are new parents are given extra paid time off after the birth or adoption of a new child. New mothers will receive four weeks paid time off, and new fathers one week. The paid time off is separate than the employee's annual vacation and PTO allotment.
  • Continuing Education and Professional Advancement: BHG covers the cost of many courses, certifications, seminars, and licensing opportunities so employees can stay up-to-date in their own areas of expertise or develop new professional skills. The company invests generously in external training and development for employees.
  • Charity Involvement: BHG offers numerous opportunities for employees to serve in the community, with a special focus on charities that help promote financial literacy and improved healthcare. The company has its own brand for its corporate social repsonbility—BHG Cares. The company encourages employees to help out as part of the 'BHG Cares Crew,' its internal volunteer team. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We want to speak with candidates that will work hard, add value, embrace our culture, and want to both grow and make a lasting impact on the company!  A candidate who demonstrates a positive mindset towards challenges, both in life and on the job, will be a great fit for BHG. We place a high value on candidates who demonstrate attributes such as PMA (positive mental attitude), loyalty, being a team player, and who are willing to bring ideas and energy to the table. As an employee of BHG, the candidate must be able to learn from mistakes or failed attempts and be ready to try again. Working in teams towards both departmental and company-wide goals at BHG demands an attitude of respect for others and loyalty to our shared purpose.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Simply put—candidates should just be themselves. When you speak to someone on the Talent Acquisition Team, be honest and upfront about your goals and what you’re currently looking for in a job.
