  • Onboarding at Sweden office: Axis is a global company and it's important to maintain our company's vision and culture worldwide. That's why all new Axis employees travel to our corporate headquarters in Lund, Sweden for a few days of onboarding. Employees not only get to learn about our company from its top executives and meet their corporate counterparts, but they also get to meet fellow employees in positions from all around the world! 
  • Celebrate in style with annual Kick Off: Even as we grow, we know how important it is to stop and reflect on past success and plan for the future. Every January the entire North American organization travels to one location to do just that. Known as Kick Off, it truly is a way to kick off a new year and leave feeling energized and excited about the company's goals and accomplishments. In 2017, we are heading back to sunny Cancun, Mexico for what is sure to be an incredible few days of team bonding, laughs and plenty of applause!
  • Viking Club: You might say we're a group of overachievers, which is why it only makes sense to honor those top sales performers exceeding 100% of quota for the previous year. But why let sales have all the fun? Axis also recognizes up to two discretionary awards and up to four non-sales Above and Beyond Awards. Each year the top performer’s name from the Viking Club is inscribed on the infamous Viking helmet trophy displayed in the office lobby.
  • Bagel Friday: Every Friday morning at the Chelmsford office, Axis provides bagels, pastries and muffins to employees to ease into the end of the week. This our local version of Swedish "Fika".  Fika is much more than having a coffee. It is a legitimate reason to set aside a moment for quality time for employees gather in the breakroom for some breakfast and time to catch up before closing out the work week.
  • Employee Referral Program: We know that we have awesome employees, so why not take advantage of their networks? Axis offers employees a generous employee referral bonus of $2,000 if they refer an employee to a position and they are subsequently hired. $1,000 is paid out following the referred's first day, and $1,000 is paid out following 3 months of employment. There is no limit to the amount of bonuses Axis will pay out to a single employee.
  • Generous Tuition Reimbursement: All employees are eligible to receive up to $8000 in tuition assistance per year.
  • Wellness Program and Fitness Reimbursement: We have an active and thriving Wellness Program that focuses on Total Wellness of body, mind, spirit and finances. Employees are also reimbursed for up to $250 of fitness equipment per year. That's a lot of FitBits!
  • Paid Time off for Volunteering: Each employee is offered a paid Social Responsibility day as part of our Corporate Sustainability Program.
  • Employee Development and Training: There are many, many opportunities for Development and Training at Axis. We have an Axis Leadership Program for Executives, an International Program for New Leaders and a nascent Junior Leadership Program. We just launched a new 9 module Sales Training Program. We offer opportunities to train on new products as well as international rotational assignments. Employee Development is so important to us that we make it a requirement; each employee is expected to take a minimum of 24 hours of training per year, and we track it.
  • Flexible Schedule: We offer flex time and opportunities to occasionally work at home to achieve work/life balance.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

The child of a Swedish parent company, Axis has grown up with all the right values, integrating the progressive lessons taught by their family of origin into their new life in the American business world. Our three Core Values - Act as One, Think Big and Always Open - summarize the non-hierarchical culture of open doors, unusual perks and a united workforce. We look for all employees to embody these Core Values in addition to their own personal core values when coming to work for Axis. 

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We always tell people to be themselves! When you are at work, you should be able to be yourself and we like to see that individualism come through during the hiring process. Tell us why you’re a fit for the role, but also with the company. Axis is a family that enjoys having fun together, so personalize how you see yourself fitting in to our culture and joining in on the fun. Think about your last family get together and that’s what Axis is... all of us together make up the Axis family.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are almost always hiring although the positions may change. We pride ourselves on the organic growth that we have and with most of our growth being in the past 3 years! Axis hires in all functions from sales to marketing to technical support to operations. If you are not the right fit for an open position, we will always have an informational interview and recommend you keep your eyes out as we are always hiring. The “slowest” we have been in recruiting over the past 3 years was about 15-18 openings at one time and we have had upwards of 35 openings, thanks to the growth and promotions that Axis has had!

One of the most common comments made during a phone interview when we ask what they know about Axis is talking about our website and trust us, there is plenty of information on there! We have an extensive product portfolio and are the global market leader in what we do. While we are humble, we also are proud of where we have come and the technology innovation we drive. Our founder is still involved in the company and it is nice to know that at Axis you are not just a number, but rather a member of the family.
