What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
The child of a Swedish parent company, Axis has grown up with all the right values, integrating the progressive lessons taught by their family of origin into their new life in the American business world. Our three Core Values - Act as One, Think Big and Always Open - summarize the non-hierarchical culture of open doors, unusual perks and a united workforce. We look for all employees to embody these Core Values in addition to their own personal core values when coming to work for Axis.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
We always tell people to be themselves! When you are at work, you should be able to be yourself and we like to see that individualism come through during the hiring process. Tell us why you’re a fit for the role, but also with the company. Axis is a family that enjoys having fun together, so personalize how you see yourself fitting in to our culture and joining in on the fun. Think about your last family get together and that’s what Axis is... all of us together make up the Axis family.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We are almost always hiring although the positions may change. We pride ourselves on the organic growth that we have and with most of our growth being in the past 3 years! Axis hires in all functions from sales to marketing to technical support to operations. If you are not the right fit for an open position, we will always have an informational interview and recommend you keep your eyes out as we are always hiring. The “slowest” we have been in recruiting over the past 3 years was about 15-18 openings at one time and we have had upwards of 35 openings, thanks to the growth and promotions that Axis has had!

One of the most common comments made during a phone interview when we ask what they know about Axis is talking about our website and trust us, there is plenty of information on there! We have an extensive product portfolio and are the global market leader in what we do. While we are humble, we also are proud of where we have come and the technology innovation we drive. Our founder is still involved in the company and it is nice to know that at Axis you are not just a number, but rather a member of the family.
