How to Get Hired
We asked Atherton for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.
What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Many factors make up a great fit, the characteristics that Atherton’s hiring managers look for to ensure success are a great work ethic every day, dependability with respect to punctuality and absences, a positive attitude towards all co-workers, residents, visitors and vendors, self-motivated to assist their supervisor in problem solving, team oriented and willingness to assist whenever needed, good written and verbal communication skills, and flexibility with change of assignments and schedules as business needs change.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Prospective candidates are encouraged to view the Atherton website to gain valuable knowledge of the history and culture of the organization. Also, they are encouraged to call or email the Human Resources department or specific hiring manager for more information before and after they complete an employment application and/or interview for a position. The candidate may ask as many questions as possible so that they understand the position and organization culture and get excited to work for Atherton. We believe employee engagement starts as soon as candidates begin the hiring process.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
