We asked ARO to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Charity Leave – 5 Paid Days Off to Volunteer: Charity Leave is a program that allows employees to request a leave of absence to volunteer time to aid a charitable organization. Full-time employees are eligible to participate after 6 months of employment with ARO. The time frame requested must be during the employee's normal working hours with ARO. A charitable organization may be defined as a not-for-profit organization (e.g. community, local school, etc.), or religious (“faith-based”) organization. Eligible employees will receive up to 5 days of paid time off for Charity Leave per year, consistent with actual days off, and are not required to take the leave on sequential days. Furthermore, eligible employees may request up to an additional five days of unpaid time off for Charity Leave per year.
  • Donate for Life – Reimbursement for Driver’s License Cost for Registered Organ Donors: Donate for Life is a reward program benefiting each employee who is a registered organ donor with his/her state. ARO will reimburse the employee organ donor for the cost of his or her driver’s license. For those who do not have a driver’s license, but still wish to participate in the program, ARO will pay that person the equivalent amount of a driver’s license in his/her state providing they still register with their state’s Organ Donor Program.   • AROcares - Employee Support Fund – Assistance to Employees Experiencing a Financial Hardship: Monthly, employees can apply for grants from the company. The applications are reviewed anonymously by the HR department and a group of long-term employees in the field. A financial hardship could be loss of possessions due to a fire, expenses due to funeral for a loved one, etc. There is a limited budget for these grants, but we welcome you to contact our WorkLife Advisor ( if you have further questions. The application can be found in the Company Info section in Ultipro.
  • Employee Referral Program – Referral Bonus for Employees that Refer Candidates: ARO offers a referral bonus of $125 to current employees who refer candidates, that are then hired and maintain employment for at least 90 days
  • Ambassador Program: The Ambassador Program is a partnership between tenured ARO employees and new hires. The goal of this partnership is to provide a mentor for new hires and to increase engagement and communication. The Ambassador will call the new hire within their first 3 days of employment to establish the relationship. The Ambassador will check in with the new hire at the 30, 60 and 90-day marks.
  • WorkLife Advisor – Providing Help with Employees Work Life Balance Needs: ARO has a WorkLife Advisor to assist employees with challenges that may be unrelated to work. The WorkLife Advisor can assist with concerns related to medical bills, housing, childcare, retirement and many others. This can be thought of as a personal help desk for all the challenges employees have outside the office.
