How to Get Hired
We asked Arm for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.
What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Our engineers tend to hire based off two criteria:
1. Be technically sound/good at what you do.
2. Don't be an asshole.
While that seems simple enough, certain key words that prospective employees use that fit within the Arm Core Beliefs (We, not I; Passion for progress) frequently pop up throughout their responses, which allows us to determine how well they will fit within the Arm Culture with a high degree of certainty.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Be friendly! Engage with the hiring managers and start to connect with them on passion projects, as well as showcase your skillsets in creative ways.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We always have a strong need for software engineers, as the misconception that we are a 'hardware company' still persists within the industry. We are also looking to increase our gender diversity within the company.
