Perks and Programs

We asked Arm to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Vacation Policy: Arm provides four weeks (20 days) of paid leave, with the option for the employee to purchase a fifth week. This is in addition to the 13 paid holidays throughout the year, so employees can have almost eight weeks of vacation a year! After 4 years of service, all employees receive a fifth week of vacation with the option to purchase a sixth week.
  • Sabbatical Policy: Arm employees earn a 4-week sabbatical after every 4 years of service that they have up to 1 year to use however they see fit. Many of our employees travel around the world, spend time with their families, or even catch up on their own personal projects involving Arm technology!

  • Social Events: All employees are invited to the annual Summer and Holiday (Christmas) parties, in addition to several smaller milestone celebrations throughout the year. To make their internships more memorable, we host several social events including tubing, outings at Top Golf and ice cream socials throughout the summer.
  • Flexible work hours: We place a lot of trust in our employees, and offer a flexible work schedule. All work hours should still be communicated with the respective line manager, but trust is key.

How to Get Hired

We asked Arm for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Our engineers tend to hire based off two criteria: 1. Be technically sound/good at what you do. 2. Don't be an asshole. While that seems simple enough, certain key words that prospective employees use that fit within the Arm Core Beliefs (We, not I; Passion for progress) frequently pop up throughout their responses, which allows us to determine how well they will fit within the Arm Culture with a high degree of certainty.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Be friendly! Engage with the hiring managers and start to connect with them on passion projects, as well as showcase your skillsets in creative ways.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We always have a strong need for software engineers, as the misconception that we are a 'hardware company' still persists within the industry. We are also looking to increase our gender diversity within the company.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Visit www.arm.com/careers and engage with us on our Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook pages, and visit the Arm Glassdoor profile to hear from employees about their work experience.
