Perks and Programs

We asked Alliant Credit Union to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Health Advocate: To further help our employees with finding time-saving and cost-effective medical help, Alliant launched Health Advocate in the summer of 2017. Through this benefit, our employees can find the best medical help at the lowest cost. Health Advocate will also help with working on reducing employees’ and their family members’ medical bills and negotiating lower payments.
  • Gym Membership Reimbursement: Launched in 2016, the gym membership reimbursement program covers up to $25/month, $300/year in gym membership cost. This benefit is available to all employees and covers any gym/health club membership cost.
  • Telemedicine though MDLive: To save time and money, Alliant has launched MDLive, a telemedicine benefit offered to our employees. For only $40, our employees and their family members can consult with a board-certified doctor by phone, secure video or MDLIVE App – anytime, from anywhere. MDLive doctors can assist and treat in most non-emergency conditions from the comfort of our employees’ homes. Our employees have used it to treat minor illnesses. Many have also found this benefit very helpful when dealing with a sick child. Doctors were able to diagnose and prescribe medications without the employee having to leave their house.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA: Alliant’s goal is to offer our employees the best possible benefits program at low cost. To make that happen, annually Alliant funds $770 for individual coverage and $1,400 for family coverage into a Health Savings Account (HSA) for those employees enrolled in one of Alliant’s high-deductible medical plans. Alliant deposits these funds in January in order to allow for employees to have sufficient funds in this account throughout the year.
  • Hyatt Legal Plans: To offer our employees a cost-effective way to obtain legal help, we have invested in a plan that provides access to attorneys at no charge for many legal services, including real estate transactions, creating or updating wills, creating or updating trusts and civil or criminal court proceedings. Our Marketing Content Specialist was diagnosed with breast cancer. She shared in an all-employee video communications how she used the Hyatt Legal Attorney services to have a will/trust done. There are many stories like hers where our benefits gave her peace of mind so she could focus on getting healthy again. Many of our employees have also used Hyatt Legal to settle traffic violations.
  • Employee Assistance Program: ComPsych is a stand-alone employee assistance program that offers online, in-person or over-the-phone services to our employees as well as their dependents. To enrich this benefit, Alliant invested in a full-service concierge, providing our employees with additional support. Some of the many programs offered include wellness initiatives, mental health assistance, legal assistance, a locator for daycare/ elder care, wedding planning and vacation planning.
  • Alliant Wellness Program: Alliant values each of its employees and believes that their health is one of our top priorities. We also recognize their health is important to the health of our business. Because of this, Alliant offers a wellness program to help our employees achieve better health. To help make the commitment and get involved, Alliant provides incentives for participation in the program, as well as gym membership reimbursement program. Our most popular wellness initiatives include free flu shots, free biometrics screenings, on-site massage days, free fruit and beverages. Many of those programs come with additional rewards, for example, each participant of the biometric screening received 100 reward points to be used towards our recognition program and $200 bonus if he/she maintained his/her healthy score.
  • A New Pet Insurance Plan: In 2017, we started offering a new pet insurance plan. With the new program, our employees can insure their pets without restrictions on pet’s age or hereditary and congenital conditions. The new plan also comes with a wellness program and a mortality benefit. Our employees can rest assured their pets are well protected.
  • Employee Referral Program: At Alliant, we know that talent attracts talent and our employees know best what qualities it takes to succeed at Alliant. That is why Alliant offers a hiring bonus. If an employee refers a candidate for any of the open positions at Alliant, and we end up hiring them, he or she will be awarded $1,000 net pay after the new employee has been at Alliant for six months. Since April 2016, Alliant paid out 13 referral bonuses to our employees.
