  • Professional Development Program: Align has a significant annual budget for training and certifications. Resource Managers meet with their teams regularly to review career goals and set professional development plans. Additionally, Align offers a suite of training tools including eLearning courses and an online knowledge-base and reference library.
  • Entertainment Committee: In addition to two annual company meetings, Align has one social event per quarter. We have a committee comprised of Align Professionals from across the firm that votes on fun events, and researches and selects team-building events and locations. Marketing and Accounting work closely with the Entertainment Committee to deliver some very fun outings including MLB Baseball games, cocktail parties, golf outings, casino nights, marathons, charity events, holiday parties, wine tastings and Mardi Gras celebrations!
  • Wellness Committee: The Wellness Committee has sponsored many events including a “Biggest Loser” fitness competition, an annual health fair with flu shots, luncheons with guest speakers covering a variety of health and wellness topics and an evening yoga class. The committee also sponsors corporate sports teams and has a budget to provide healthy snacks for our corporate offices.
  • Align Notables: Every month Align employees can nominate a “Notable Aligner” for excellence on the job. This person is recognized in the monthly newsletter, and they receive a $500 cash bonus. Often, we have so many great nominations that we'll select two Notables in a month, and each gets $500.
  • Guide Program: New Align Professionals are assigned a guide who provides mentorship. The program is not about seniority but is designed to help new hires acclimate to Align and ensure everyone has a consistent and smooth onboarding experience. The Guide Program is also focused on developing specific consultative skills and approaches that we feel differentiate our firm. The program is a great resource to help new Align Professionals understand the intangible and cultural aspects of what makes people successful within Align and on client projects. It helps instill our GSD (“Get Stuff Done”) attitude in new Aligners, as well as reinforcing our delivery methodology and approach.
  • Committee System: Align's management team has an open-door policy. We encourage dialogue, feedback and suggestions. Part of this collaborative culture is our committee system, which covers various areas and includes a representative cross-section of our people. We include Align Professionals in many of the decisions that are most important to them; for example, we have a Technical Services Committee that helps to evaluate new technologies and ascertain their fit within Align's business operations or our solutions offerings. Our Benefits Committee helps review and evaluate insurance plans and providers. This system allows Align Professionals to learn about our business operations and involve themselves in decisions that help drive the direction of our company.
  • Onsite Amenities: Align provides quarterly catered breakfast and snacks, an annual yoga class, employee massages and flu shots. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look for passionate, bright and resourceful individuals with a strong work ethic, team orientation and communication skills. We expect you to want to come to work in the morning, enjoy working within your team, and take pride in a job well done. We look for that GSD (Get Stuff Done) attitude in all new Aligners. We believe interpersonal, collaboration and consultative skills are the harder part to teach. We feel that we can always train for the technical skills if the person is willing to work hard and is passionate about learning.  

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Candidates should apply via our Career Page or through Jobvite. They should submit a well written resume and, if desired, a cover letter highlighting why they feel they are a good match for our organization. We seek people that are passionate about their careers and on ongoing learning, so relevant industry certifications are a good way to demonstrate that. We prefer candidates with prior consulting or professional services experience.  

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Align is seeking Data Center Design and Build Professionals that are willing to travel. We are also looking for Senior Technoligists that have strong consultative skills, but are also willing to be hands-on in the implementation of the solutons they help to design. These Senior Technologists should have broad IT Infrastructure knowledge and experience performing IT Advisory work including Current State and Optimal State Assessements. We will be looking to hire Information Security Engineers for our expanding Cyber Security Solutions. We will also be adding technical project managers with a good understanding of innovative Workplace and End User Technology Solutions.
