What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
We don't believe in the concept of culture "fits." Instead, here are the characteristics we look for. Culture complement – Someone who adds to the team culture rather than one who brings more of the same. We’re looking for candidates who bring creative friction, new energy and a fresh perspective. Customer empathy – We’re looking for employees who are incredibly dedicated to the customer. They are individuals who lead first with customer needs and always innovate on behalf of what’s best for them. We need candidates who can help our customers experience value realization. Critical thinking – Individuals who thrive at Adobe are those who love to be challenged with new problems and those who are able to simplify the abstract. Most of all, be authentic. One of our core values is all about being genuine.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Reach out, engage, and ask for a meeting. Adobe’s a big city brand but we have small town values here. We love making new connections. Reach out to any member of our Talent team or an Adobe employee you know. Let them know that you’re interested in a specific role at Adobe and why you’re the best person for the challenge. Be authentic when you reach out to us, and really show us that you’re passionate about joining the team. The team is busy, but if you’re really passionate about joining Adobe, don’t get discouraged. This tells us that you're serious about the opportunity and that you're confident in your ability to make an impact at Adobe.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We hire over a thousand new hires a quarter across all functions and at all levels from university graduates to experienced professionals. We’re heavily focused on hiring in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, data science, mobile development, experience design, marketing, as well as enterprise sales.
No matter which role you’re interviewing for, we’re looking for candidates who have intense customer empathy and those who can bring their unique self to work and offer fresh perspectives.
