We asked Adobe to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan: Adobe’s ESPP program lets employees set-aside up to 25% of compensation to purchase Adobe Stock every six months that are at least 15% below the fair market value. The discounted price is locked in for a 24-month period.
  • Matching Grants Give Back: Adobe enables employees to give back to the community by matching dollar for dollar up to $10,000 annually. In addition, individual grants of $250 for every 20 hours of volunteer service and $1,000 for team volunteer events.
  • Employee Networks: Our Employee Networks play an important role in bringing our employees together to build community and an inclusive workplace. Embracing Adobe's Core Values, Employee Networks share a common purpose, interest, or background and act as a resource for personal and professional development. Each network is open to ALL employees across the company—we encourage participation and collaboration across the networks—we are stronger together.
  • Time Off that’s Meaningful: Adobe offers three unique forms of time off. Unlimited time off that they can coordinate with their manager, two company breaks (summer and winter) that amounts to roughly two and a half weeks, and a sabbatical up to 6 paid weeks based on tenure. 
  • Assistance during difficult times - Survivor Outreach Services & Enhanced Bereavement Leave (New): Adobe strives to ensure employees have the support they need to care for themselves and their family during major life events. If a loved one passes away,Adobe's bereavement benefit provides up to 20 days (4 weeks) of full paid-time per calendar year. Additionally, our Survivor Outreach Services Provides assistance to employees and beneficiaries after the death of a loved one, including help navigating insurance claims, COBRA, credit agencies, Social Security and financial institutions.
  • Welcome Back: The Welcome Back program offers additional resources to employees and equip managers to facilitate a seamless transition back to work. The program is available to U.S. based employees returning from an extended leave of absence of more than three calendar months (90 days). As part of the program, managers, develop a transition plan for employees as well as discuss the possible need for an alternative work arrangement. 
  • Dependent Care Gift: Childcare takes a significant amount of a family’s budget. Adobe provides a nontaxable gift of up to $1,200 per year toward the care of dependent children to employees who enroll in the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account.
  • Enhanced Adoption and New Surrogacy Assistance (New): For employees looking to start or expand their family Adobe’s benefits are there to lend a hand. Adoption Assistance Program this program reimburses $25,000 (up from $5,000 in 2017) toward eligible adoption expenses upon finalization of the adoption. Employees may use the benefit twice, up to a lifetime maximum of $50,000. Adobe will also reimburse employees for non-medical expenses associated with surrogacy, up to $25,000 per event, with a lifetime maximum of two events.
  • Milk Stork (New): Milk Stork offers breast milk shipping services to Adobe moms traveling on business. They are able to ship or tote their milk from their hotel back home for free.
  • Headspace - Meditation App (New): A personal trainer for the mind, the Headspace app. Free for all employees.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We don't believe in the concept of culture "fits." Instead, here are the characteristics we look for. Culture complement – Someone who adds to the team culture rather than one who brings more of the same. We’re looking for candidates who bring creative friction, new energy and a fresh perspective. Customer empathy – We’re looking for employees who are incredibly dedicated to the customer. They are individuals who lead first with customer needs and always innovate on behalf of what’s best for them. We need candidates who can help our customers experience value realization.     Critical thinking – Individuals who thrive at Adobe are those who love to be challenged with new problems and those who are able to simplify the abstract. Most of all, be authentic. One of our core values is all about being genuine. 

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Reach out, engage, and ask for a meeting. Adobe’s a big city brand but we have small town values here. We love making new connections. We hire over a thousand new hires a quarter across all functions and at all levels from university graduates to experienced professionals. We’re heavily focused on hiring in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, data science, mobile development, experience design, marketing, as well as enterprise sales. No matter which role you’re interviewing for, we’re looking for candidates who have intense customer empathy and those who can bring their unique self to work and offer fresh perspectives.
