Way to Work!

Perks and Programs

We asked Adecco USA, Inc to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Way to Work: Represents a concrete actualization of Adecco’s purpose: providing young people with great opportunities through the power of work. 40% of employers complain they can’t find candidates with the right skills, and the Way to Work™ program equips candidates with the right hard (and soft) skills the market needs. The Adecco Way to Work™ website provides job seekers with various resources to get their job hunting on track: an opportunity to apply for our annual CEO for One Month program, apply for one of many client or Adecco branch office internships, notification of Street Day events where Adecco comes to campus and finally a collection of resources in our Job Seeker’s Guide designed to help candidates prepare to find their dream job.
  • Win4Youth: Provides an opportunity for every Adecco colleague, associate and client to step forward and contribute through sports activity to raise money donated to select foundations that have a common purpose – they all help give young people a future in work and life. Since its start in 2010, the program has seen an amazing number of our people enthusiastically take the opportunity to bring vital aspects of our four core values to life, showing team spirit, the willingness to take responsibility by promoting fairness, diversity and equality and by demonstrating passion to engage with Win4Youth and make a positive difference.
  • Health and Wellness Benefits: We encourage the physical well-being of our colleagues by offering health and wellness benefits. Through a quarterly reimbursement program, colleagues can receive financial assistance to pay for expenses such as gym memberships, wellness classes, self-defense classes, dietary programs and smoking cessation. In addition to access to full medical benefits, we also provide a telehealth benefit which allows our employees to seek medical attention virtually. This on-demand care is available 24 hours and is free to access.
  • Athlete Career and Education: As a proud sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), we're making it a little easier for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls to realize their gold medal dreams without getting overwhelmed with life. In conjunction with the USOC, the USOC Athlete Career & Education program was developed. The program helps athletes find flexible job opportunities that afford them the time and financial resources necessary to train and prepare. Our athletes get hands-on career experience that they can use to smoothly transition to great careers outside of sports. In addition, they receive advice on resume development, interview preparation and job market research, along with seminars and career coaching.
  • Adecco Military Alliance: With the protection and support that military members provide our country, the least we can do is support their post-military career. While veterans are in high demand with their military skill set, it can be tough to transition to civilian jobs. But that's why we're here to help. Our connections allow us to offer the flexibility veterans need as they transition their service. We haven't forgotten about military spouses! Military spouses need flexible career support to supplement military benefits. And guess what, we deliver by partnering with groups like the Military Spouse Employment Partnership.
  • Certified Diverse Supplier Program: We’re serious about developing and nurturing relationships with certified diverse suppliers. In fact, it’s our belief that these partnerships drive innovation, support local communities, and enrich efforts to diversify the workplace—we’ve seen it time and again. Our mission is to build relationships with certified minority, women-owned, veteran-owned and other historically underutilized diverse businesses. Our vision is to have a positive impact in communities where we do business. To stay connected to these goals we maintain national corporate memberships with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and Elite Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (The Elite SDVOB) Network and many of the leaders in our organization have offered up their time to speak at and publically support these groups.
  • Day of Service: Our colleagues are diverse and generous, which is why we offer them all a Day of Service. Colleagues may take a full paid day off work each calendar year in order to do volunteer and charitable work with an organization of their choosing. We've built houses, served meals, taken care of pets, and raised money for organizations close to our hearts.
  • Culture Champs: We think the best way to promote our culture is to put the leadership of it in the capable hands of the people who live it everyday! At Adecco Staffing, we have over 100 designated Culture Champs across our 450 locations. These Champs are responsible for being the leaders in our culture of excellent service to our clients, candidates and to each other. They are tasked with living our values everyday and engaging their fellow colleagues to do the same.
  • Super Stars: SuperStars is one of the many ways that we highlight and recognize colleagues who are going above and beyond in putting People – our candidates, clients, and colleagues – First on a daily basis.  The SuperStars program is an annual sales contest for the top 10% of Adecco Staffing leaders that recognizes and rewards outstanding financial performance and accomplishments for the year.  Fitting of the recognition they deserve, we celebrate our SuperStars at an all-inclusive weekend at a new and exciting destination each year.
  • Formalized Recognition: We take the time each year to celebrate milestones, one of our favorites are work anniversaries. Each year, our colleagues receive an award, trophy, or email celebrating their special day. These keepsakes are presented with comments from their manager and colleagues congratulating them on another year.

How to Get Hired

We asked Adecco USA, Inc for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We recognize the correlation between a colleague’s passion for what they do and the bottom-line success of our business. When we have an opportunity to add to our team, we look for prospective partners who align with our People First Winning Culture as well as exemplify and demonstrate our core values:  Team Spirit, Customer Focus, Passion, Responsibility, and Entrepreneurship.  Our core values define the areas where we aim to excel and embody the fundamental attitude and character of Adecco. Our people are genuine, forward thinking team players who inspire each other to learn, earn and grow.  We look for individuals who mirror these foundational parts of our culture while radiating a passion for helping others and improving the world of work.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Candidates who get our attention are those who demonstrate a passion for helping others and are forward-thinking, roll-up your sleeves team-players.  We’re a people business, inside and out and look for individuals who exemplify the foundation of our culture and demonstrate thinking style, behavioral traits, and interests that align with the opportunity at hand. Since we care about what we do and who we work with, we have a thorough selection process involving multiple levels of the organization.  We have a long history of looking for and catching the best and brightest to ensure the high levels of employee engagement and organizational excellence.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Diversity in thought, belief, and background make us stronger and broadens our ability to understand and respond to the needs of our customers.  To make even greater strides in our diversity initiatives over the coming year we are more intentionally engaging and recruiting: recent colleague graduates for our entry level and junior roles; our modern heroes – veterans; and partnering with our world-class sister companies in other countries to bring in the best and brightest across the globe! As we continue to further align our business delivery models with our client’s needs, we’re planning for continued growth at all levels of the company.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

We encourage our candidates to submit applications online at www.adeccogroupna.com or pop into a local office to see first-hand how we Go For Great every day.  Connect with us on social media https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/1104359/, https://twitter.com/adeccousa, https://www.facebook.com/AdeccoUSA/, or even ask a family or friend.  Chances are, there’s someone in your personal or professional network who is already connected to us!  We have a great referral program that encourages our colleagues to refer family and friends they know well and who demonstrate our core values.
