  • P.E.A.K: Our P.E.A.K (Performance, Education, Acceleration, Knowledge) All-Company meeting is a huge event that brings all employees together for 2+ days of training, team building, collaboration, & having some good old fashion FUN with our fellow co-workers! This event highlights our biggest asset (our People), and contrary to most all-company meetings, uses a format that's more hands-on and focused on talking about & solving real-business challenges instead of being trapped in a room listening to speakers and being overloaded with PowerPoint(s). Being a distributed workforce, employees are able to connect with team members who they work with everyday but have never met in person! This event creates an electric energy that is pumped back into our work and 2nd Watch is able to see and feel meaningful results immediately!
  • Wellness: The Wellness committee is all about helping our employees live healthier, better lives by promoting employee wellness. 2nd Watch organizes annual on-site biometric screenings to make it easy for our employees to stay involved and informed regarding their health. Our 4 week long walking challenge is getting employees moving more in the quest for a high step count each day. The challenge culminates in the raffle of Fitbits, Kindle Fires, movie tickets, etc. 2nd Watch stocks the kitchen with healthy foods, fruits and vegetables to increase the convenience of healthy eating. We also buy snacks from Snack Nation, a company that has aligned itself with Feeding America. For every box we buy from Snack Nation, they donate 10 meals via Feeding America.
  • Fun at Work: 2nd Watch encourages fun in the workplace and each Friday we bring in catered food so our employees can eat lunch together and socialize in a relaxed setting. We also like to run a costume contest for Halloween and the traditional a Best/Worst Holiday Sweater contest. Nerf gun wars randomly erupt so always be prepared as you walk around the office!
  • Certification Reward: 2nd Watch believes in training and offer extensive training opportunities for our employees. 2nd Watch also believes in awarding hard work, so for each AWS certification that an employee earns, we pay out a $1,500 certification bonus!
  • Journey Master's Program: 2nd Watch recently implemented a new six-pillar program focusing on: wellness, empowerment, contribution, development, philanthropy and culture and comradery. This program was implemented to entice employees to get active and get involved with the community on a more consistent basis. It also was implemented to encourage employees to focus on their career development as well as improve 2nd Watch's overall competency. We also created a social platform so that 2nd Watchers can acknowledge and give Kudos to their coworkers regularly. At 2nd Watch, we value balance and a work hard play hard attitude. This competitive program incentivizes our employees to keep improving themselves, their individual teams and those around them while encouraging a little competition to earn the most badges to display on their desks.
